Belly Of The Beast- Part 4 [Surya]

Veer's words wounded Surya, but he felt more guilt than displeasure. They were already hit by a storm outside; he did not want another in there. He vouched to reconcile his dearest friend with his lover.

"I give you my word," he grasped Veer's hand and patted its back, "but tell me, did you see any of our men on your way?" He asked with trepidation as he vision the bodies they had passed in those tunnels floated before his eyes.

Veer nodded slowly. "Ours and theirs," he shot a glance to Prince Drishti, "and the beasts."

Surya's heart froze thinking of Pavan. But he knew the stallion's sprightliness and strength. He was convinced Pavan had survived the avalanche and waiting for him somewhere out there in the broad snowy plains at the foot of the mountain.
