"So, would you accompany us back to Lord Yaman's temple?" Puru asked once more, in earnest.
Harihar gave him a sullen look. "No, I want to return home."
"What of the word you gave me?" Puru reminded the young lord of their first conversation in the lord's manor, "we allow you to come with us on this quest and you will offer your patronage to Lord Yaman's faith and faction."
Harihar regarded the agni asura with a sour look, before emptying his entire glass in one long swig. "I had no knowledge that gods are so good at bartering," he said with wry contempt, "you mustn't worry, my lord. Once I return to the capital, I will warrant that every man, woman, and children knows who Lord Yaman is."
