Solis and Gab arrived at Anthony's sudden auction and saw that many businessmen from big companies were attending just to spot another blue diamond.
"This is stupid after all, Solis!" Gabriel said as he looked pissed, seeing Anthony's face again. Anthony was expecting Faridah to show off again because of his provocation, yet Faridah sent her cousins instead.
"Please have a seat in the VIP area that I prepared for the Hamilton family," Anthony said, smirking. Solis held onto Gab's anger by responding 'Thank you' as she grabbed her out of Anthony's sight.
'Faridah isn't around. Where the hell is she? She cannot simply give up and let me have the spotlight while her grandparents' business is going down.' Anthony thought as the staff held onto another blue diamond.
Yet this blue diamond is fake and was just a replica of the Blue Diamond that Faridah bought and gave to Kyle.
The Lim cannot immediately find another blue diamond that instant after selling out one of the rarest items. Yet, for the business people to shift their attention to his auction rather than Hamilton's, he has to present another blue diamond that looks exactly like the real one.
Yet this won't be on sale as it will be held at the auction as an eye-opener to the business tycoons, and Anthony Lim's auction house is the best among the rest.
After all, Anthony cannot sell a replica or a fake gem since this would be risky for his name. He really just wanted to provoke Faridah to see her again, yet he didn't succeed.
Instead, Faridah made Solis and Gabriel spy on the auction that Anthony made.
In Alaska, Faridah and Kyle are having a chocolate drink. Keteki handed Faridah the files that she needed, as they were an outcome of the lab's research on the rare gem that they got.
"Is this a ruby?" Faridah asked as the gem turned out to be bloody red.
"It's a red diamond, ma'am. It is the rarest item of all, more so than the blue diamond, as it shows the brilliance of red cherry and the darkness of blood. The research team succeeded with the search," Keteki said as Faridah smirked.
The rare red diamond is a magnificent wonder that exudes luxury and mystery. Its flaming color, a beautiful fusion of scarlet and crimson, encapsulates the essence of a sunset captured in time.
Light dances over each facet, creating a dazzling range of rich crimson tones that inspire strength and passion. This gem, a jewel designed by extreme pressure and time, is highly sought after due to its unmatched rarity. It is more than just a stone; it is a representation of timeless beauty, a mystery that epitomizes strength, desire, and the endless charm of the impossible.
Kyle, on the other hand, continues munching his food as he doesn't understand anything that Faridah is planning in her mind. After all, Faridah is somehow dangerous when it comes to these things, especially if it's business.
"We will travel again next week in France. Call my grandparents with this preparation," Faridah said as Keteki nodded and immediately called her grandparents about the auction. Also, Solis and Gab sent this photo after the auction was finished," Keteki said as he gave Faridah his second phone and proceeded to talk to her grandparents.
"I can see that he really held a replica of the gem that you have in your hand, Kyle," Faridah said as Kyle also looked into the phone. "A replica? Isn't that another blue diamond like mine?" Kyle asked as Faridah smirked.
"Come on now, I know the Lims are rich, but they cannot control nature and detect another blue diamond just a few weeks after it was sold," Faridah said as she smirked like he was having fun about it.
"It seems like you're having fun playing with your ex," Kyle said, his tone bitter. Faridah smirked, knowing that Kyle was jealous of her attention to her ex.
"I will tell you a story about a girl who ended up with a strange guy," Faridah said as Kyle looked at her.
Faridah closes her eyes as the memory of Anthony's decision to betray her is apparent to her.
Faridah stood at the doorway of Anthony's dimly lit apartment, her heart pounding as the truth unraveled before her. The papers in her trembling hands felt heavier than they should, laden with betrayal. The name Hamilton Industries was stamped across every page—a name her family had built with decades of sweat and sacrifice.
Anthony arrived and was about to kiss her when she dropped all the papers that she found on the table scattered around.
"I'm breaking the engagement, " she said coldly. Anthony could not believe he had been found out too soon before his plans started.
"Faridah, we can still do this," he said as he begged on his knees, yet Faridah was certain already.
Keteki arrived with all her bags packed since they were planning to live together. "Ma'am, the car is ready," Keteki said as Anthony started crying.
"I have no choice, Faridah. My Dad wants it, but all I wanted was you," Anthony said as he held onto Faridah's legs.
"Everyone in that organization you made is dead. 30 People's lives were gone." Faridah said coldly. "How could you kill them all? You crossed-"
"You're the one crossing the line here, Anthony Lim. This is a warning from the Lims not to mess with me," Faridah said coldly.
Keteki just stared at the situation.
Remembering everything again made Faridah smile bitterly. She knew that she had to put in more time and effort to bring the company back to its feet since it was almost gone due to Anthony's betrayal.
"He's someone that loves money more than anything else." She started remembering how he put those families' lives in danger for his dreams.
"That it doesn't matter who he will step into but rather what he was raising for," Faridah added as Kyle knew what she meant about that.
"If I told you that I'm also into your power and wealth, Would you hate me too, just like how you hated Anthony?" Kyle asked since it was something genuine. After all, he was forced to agree on their marriage since their house was sold out due to loan sharks and other expenses that his father left them in debt with.
'I knew that all along. Even if you won't say anything, I already knew that.' Faridah thought.
Kyle was working three jobs already, yet it wasn't enough to pay everything, including the interest.
He knows for a fact that Faridah hated anything when it came to money involvement.
"I'm not that dumb, though, for me not to know what situation you're in." She said, stunned by Kyle's answer. "You mean you knew?" he asked, as Faridah didn't respond and took a sip of her hot chocolate.
"Aren't you afraid that I'll use you and your power just like how Anthony abused your kindness?" he asked as Faridah smiled sadly. "Back then, Anthony got his way since I was young and naive, Yet right now, I'm older than you and know a lot about this world. I'm not that easy to take down Kyle." She said as Kyle clenched his fist.
"Rather than taking me down, how about you just make a wish, and I'll grant everything you want? After all, you're not someone to be taken lightly," she said as she smiled at him.
Kyle's eyes darted nervously toward Faridah, her intense gaze locking onto him like a predator sizing up its prey. She stood there, poised with an air of confidence that seemed to drain the oxygen from the room.
Her piercing eyes, sharp and unyielding, sent a shiver down his spine. Kyle's throat tightened, and he gulped audibly, the sound betraying his attempt to appear composed.
His palms grew clammy as he struggled to hold her gaze. An overwhelming sense of unease washed over him as if Faridah could see straight through him, uncovering every secret he fought to hide.
"What do you want, Kyle Anthony?" she asked again as Kyle smiled.
Kyle leaned against the balcony, his eyes fixed on Faridah as she moved gracefully through the room. Her presence commanded attention like a queen among commoners, and her beauty was breathtaking—a perfect blend of elegance and strength.
The way her smile lit up her face, the way her laughter chimed like a melody, left him utterly captivated.
He couldn't help but think about how out of reach she felt, like a star too far to touch. Yet, a fire burned in his chest, a longing to be more than just a distant admirer.
He wanted a title in her life, something that would give him the right to stand by her side, to share her world. Whether as her protector, her partner, or even just the one she trusted most, Kyle wanted to matter to her.
"Marry me."
