Interlocution

I felt like my body shook like crazy when I woke up. I mean… WHO WILL BE COMFORTABLE IN THAT POSITION!!!

Yeah, I am being carried by masked people in a 'U' shape if I am being viewed upside down.

unknown: "Oh, you've done your job?"

Epsilon: "Yes, we completed the mission perfectly."

A voice I never heard before. Possibly another member of that organization.

Two figures saw me and came closer.

Beta: "Hello! Did you sleep well?"

unknown: "Ergh… I don't think so."

unknown showed a face of disgust. But he is now wearing a black hoody and a mask. So, no one saw his face.

unknown: "Are we heading to your base?"

unknown spoke while looking at the game map. At this moment, the hooded figures went inside a building.

Beta: "Yes. But we will hypnotize you and ask why were you in there."

unknown: "Err…"

I want to say that hypnotizing won't work. But they most likely won't believe me. unknown thought and closed his mouth.

Alpha: "Look at my eye."

unknown: "No."

unknown sat on a chair, tied, with his eyes closed. Alpha tried to force unknown to open his eyes using her hand.

unknown: "Don't! Don't! Don't! My eyes will explode! Stop that!"

Alpha: "Then look at my eyes."

unknown: "Sigh, hypnotize won't work on me, mate."

Alpha: "It will work, just look at my eyes and you will know."

Alpha: "Why are you heading towards the bar?"

unknown: "I want to join Dark Triad."

Alpha frowned again but didn't mark down anything.

Alpha: "Why do you want to join Dark Triad?"

unknown: "I don't know."

When Alpha heard this answer, she knew she won't get any deeper answers aside from the obvious ones. So, she decided to do one thing to confirm the theory.

Alpha: "You will forget everything including your name, your relationship, your life, your experience and more."

Want to brainwash me? unknown sneered in his thought.

After saying that, Alpha disabled her hypnotize ability.

unknown: "What? Where am I? Who am I? What am I?"

unknown looked around with confusion and anxiety. Alpha shook her head thinking that unknown lied to her. But a few more seconds later, she thought that why unknown is able to talk like normal. That's the biggest abnormal point!

I was tricked! Alpha looked at unknown shamefully. unknown was still acting and looking around. Their eyes accidentally met and unknown was hypnotized again.

Alpha thought that until now, she still doesn't know what the boy in front of him called. So, she decided to ask him.

unknown: "…"

unknown raised his head and looked at Alpha reacting to the source of the sound. Because unknown's body forgot all of the stuff, he was not able to answer Alpha anything at all.

Alpha sensed something strange when unknown didn't answer her question. She looked at unknown carefully and found out that unknown's eyes are darkened and looked like it's from a dead person. People always say eyes are the soul's window to express themselves. Although the people who were being controlled tended to have darkened colour eyes. But to the point of a pair of dead eyes? That's a first for Alpha to see that. Even though, unknown's eyes normally are dead fish like and very dark to begin with. But there is still a single bit of pixel of light inside his eyes. unknown right now looked like a human sized doll that can move itself.

Alpha wore the blindfold before disabling her hypnotizing ability again. unknown was freed.

unknown: "You want to ask me my name, right? It's unknown. It's natural my body didn't know when you ask me before. Hahaha… So funny."

Alpha: "…"

unknown said so in a robotic tone and it made Alpha twisted her mouth. That's the worst comedian I've ever met! Alpha thought.

Alpha decided to ignore the joke and calm herself down.

Alpha: "So, can you tell me why you want to join Dark Triad?"

unknown wanted to move his finger to his mouth but he just remembered that he was tied. So, he moved his body forward.

unknown: "Secret!"

unknown whispered out loud. Although he sounded excited in his voice, his never changing face made it hard to believe he is actually so.

Alpha: "Sigh, I knew it. So, what things can you tell me?"

unknown: "Hmm… It depends on what you ask."

unknown tilted his head and looked upwards.

Alpha: "… Right."

Alpha walked out from the interrogation room. Epsilon came over at the side. Alpha placed a piece of paper on Epsilon's hand and walked towards another interrogation room. Epsilon headed towards Shadow's office immediately.

Shadow: "That person who called himself 'unknown' is immune to Alpha's hypnotizing effect?"

Gamma nodded.

Shadow: "If he really does immune to Alpha's hypnotizing, that means he had his own ability before they met."

Shadow: "Is he keep trying to get caught by us? Why though? Trying to join us?"

Judging on unknown's behavior. It's easy to assume unknown is trying to get caught by them. But even Alpha's hypnotizing won't work on him. His motive is concerning…

Shadow: "His ability might be 'the soul is able to leave the body'."

Gamma moved again. Shadow looked over immediately.

Shadow: "'Another guess is he got ability from player base and not Dark Triad', you might be right. Or that place is also a base of Dark Triad. We shouldn't estimate their power and influence."

Shadow: "The hypnotized info is most likely correct. The only problem is the info he said when he is awake. I think the info are not all true."

Shadow: "No matter, we will have a long time not acting. Gamma, I give you one month to investigate that player base. Report it to me directly after that."

Gamma nodded and disappeared from the room.

Shadow: "It's not quite peaceful these days…"

Shadow looked at the city outside from the window.
