Zach look up at the imposing federal prison outside the city and took a deep breath. This wasn’t an area he frequented, but he had to speak to Kent Marsing, man to man. He hadn’t spoken directly to his rival since the night of the gala. There had been no need, but there was now. Brandi was far too important to Zach for him to hope that Kent would do the right thing.


On the road to the prison, signs had warned about picking up hitchhikers. As Zach stepped out of the car, he wouldn’t imagine anyone escaping this fortress with its high stone walls and fencing with razor wire. Then again, if someone was determined enough they could probably figure it out.
