Chapter 49: The Judgment

Everyone turned and looked at the young queen standing by her grey warhorse, her black and grey armour still shining after the battle. Rowan came forward and looked at those assembled before her: Elduine, Elinias, General Tarik, Atrian, Danik, and the Forest King Gruffydd.

“We did it,” she began, tears welling unbidden in her eyes. “We threw away our issues from the past and joined together for a new future. May all who think about spreading evil, think twice when they see the strength of our alliance.”

Cheers rose from warriors, horsemen, and archers near and far.

“As for the mage Romiir, give him a comfy cell and a book until we decide his fate.”

“That would be the one with the stone bed,” General Tarik winked as Captain Phalen escorted the Fae warriors and Romiir to the dungeon.

“We have other things to concern ourselves with,” Rowan waved an arm over the battleground.
