Chapter 16: Lily

The hotel bar was quiet—that is, until twenty authors, spouses, and assistants invaded its solemnness. It was a quaint place, with round tables surrounded by plush chairs, a few bistro tables for two, as well as plenty of space to stand and share a conversation with a drink in hand. The bar was a deep mahogany, surrounded by bottles and glasses and only two bartenders, which is probably one more than they thought they would need. Surprise to them.
