All was quiet when Blake awoke the following morning. The storm had subsided, and sunlight streamed in through the crack in his bedroom drapes. He was lying on his right side, Shasta curled with her back against him, his left arm protectively thrown over her. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head and lingered, breathing in the aroma of spiced jasmine. She sighed softly in her sleep. None of which did anything to assuage the raging hard-on with which he greeted the morning.
Carefully, he slid out of bed. Shasta stirred slightly but didnt awaken. Blake dressed quietly and left the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Bear was happy to see him and even happier to go out for a walk.
