Councilman Sebastian rode through the thick forest, being as careful as he could not fall due to the rocky ground. At long last he arrived at his destination.

A dark cave hidden from normal eyes except those granted access to it. He led his horse through the cave which was high and wide enough to let through up to twenty elves at the same time. These were the tallest creatures in the world.

As he entered deep into the cave, he saw moonflowers which were lined side by side on the cave walls to give light to those who dwelled there.

He walked by a room in the cave where women and girls of different ages sat together in a circle with their hands clasped together and their eyes raised to the roof of the cave and shone brightly as well.

After passing several others, he came to the room he desired to enter. " Greetings, Alina, " he said, stopping at the door which blocked the room off with a curtain.

" Greetings Sebastian. Come in. " she said, lifting the curtain for him to pass through.

She offered him a smile and wondered what could have brought the Councilman to the cave of the sisters of light.

The sisters of light were the few witches who had decided to risk their lives to save the world from the hands of the dark witches and the werewolves who had chosen to join them in their fight for evil. But sometimes some of the sisters fell to the dark side, craving the power that was not limited to them as dark witches

She had told the Councilman several times that unless the matter was of utmost importance, he should not come here as he could easily be followed but he had told her not to worry as he had a trick up his sleeves which would ensure he would never get caught.

There was something about the old man. She had long decided but she was unable to put her hand on it.

" Sit down, " she said to him. As she continued to pack her things.

" There will be no need for that. What I have to say will not take long and Raine informed me that you will be going on a journey this night. " he replied.

She smiled at the thought of the bubbly girl who got so lost in her mission sometimes the seriousness and efficiency at which she did her work could cut through ice. Then again it was because of sisters like her the work got done.

" She's right. I have an acquaintance to meet. So I suggest you hurry. " She said sitting at the edge of the table in the small office.

" We need your help. We have done the best you can and so have you. If we continue to rely on our strengths, I fear that the Eradains will defeat us in two weeks time and our kingdom laid in ruins but if we are able to seek help from other creatures, I know for a fact we might have more than a chance against the dark witches. " He said to her pleadingly.

" Do you have a particular creature in mind? " she asked, reasoning what he had said.

" Yes, the council as well as the king and the princess have discussed it. We would like to strike a deal with the creatures of the night. "

She was shocked and sat up. " Do you know what you are asking for? The vampire Lord is not known to help anyone for just about any reason. He is very much like his father in that way. "

" Who knows we might be able to convince him. Especially now that he's in search of a bride. "

" Ah, I see, " She stood up. " Is there anything your daughter does not tell you? "

He chuckled. " We don't like to keep secrets from each other. "

" But you do know, there's a possibility he might not agree to this despite your enticing offer. There are kingdoms offering him much more in exchange. I need not tell you how slim of a chance the possibility of convincing him might be especially when putting the princess's character into consideration. But I will try my best. " she said, taking her bag which carried the essentials she would be needing.

" When will you be back? " he asked.

" In two days. "

" Am I to expect a reply then? " he asked as he made his way to the door.

" Yes, " she replied.

As soon as he's gone, she moves through a door that is hidden from sight, she goes through a tunnel and ends up at a waterfall.

She breathed in and closed her eyes, taking in the clean breeze and soothing smell of nature. By the time she opened them again, her eyes glowed like the moon. " Wind calls, earth moves, and the glorious moon lights her path. Open the doors to where I seek, keep my journey safe and quick. "

Light spilled out from the ground, dividing the ground as it stretched. A portal appeared, looking like a glass and when she stepped through it, it was as refreshing as the cool sea but still yet she felt slightly drained. Being the oldest witch, she was presently the strongest but with the upcoming war, it was not her help which would be needed but that of the sister whom they continued to search for. The moon kissed, witch.

She was where she desired but still a ways off from her destination. She walked a short distance and standing in front of her was Dimitri. A man she was well accustomed to. The vampire Lord's very own servant whom he trusted with his life.

" Greetings Dimitri. "

" Greetings lady Alina, welcome to Shadow's Kiss. " he said with his face void of expression as always.

" Thank you. "

" The king has been awaiting your arrival. "

He placed her on a horse and they rode as fast as they could through sleeping villages and then through a forest which stood a far distance between the villages and the palace. Soon they arrived at a path blocked off by vines and thorns.

Alina sat back as usual and let Dimitri take care of it.

He brought out a vial with red liquid and placed three drops of the liquid on the ground. The vines and thorns separated, making a way for them.

Then the palace gates stood before them, and opened at their arrival. They descended from their horses when they finally arrived at the castle. It was very beautiful with the huge maze that stood off to the side and a garden of assorted flowers on the other side. A path was made by a lining of shrubs. The beauty of the palace of the vampire Lord was one which Alina enjoyed. Funny how a place as dark as this could encompass the beauty of nature.

They walked up the stairs and through the door to the man who awaited their arrival.
