He smirked and looked down at her, a devilish smile in his eyes that set her nerves frantic. 

"Since you find my servants unsuitable to serve your needs, you might be the best person to serve them yourself."

"Ex... excuse me?!" she spluttered in shock. 

"Dimitri. she will be washing her clothes herself and will be cleaning her room as well." he said turning to his most trusted servant. “I am quite sure she is capable of running her bath and dressing herself... "

"How dare you?... " she asked harshly at the insult. 

"Would you like to prepare your meals and perhaps do the dishes as well?" Kieran asked looking back at her with a glint in his eyes. 

But she remained silent and shocked beyond belief. 

"I thought as much. Well we will be leaving you to your chores." he said stepping on her clothes as he walked out with the maid and Dimitri. 

"And by the way," he said stopping just outside the door. "I'd hate to see my castle looking untidy. So unless you wish to face the consequences, I suggest you do a good job."

This time he walked off without stopping and the sound of her screeches echoed off the walls.

Clarissa knew the lady was aware they had arrived and was only avoiding them because they were humans.

Madam Cherie scowled. " I don't attend to human scum. From the palace or not. "

"It seems you have no respect for your king. But I have no issues with that. It's your disrespect towards me I have an issue with. "

She scoffed. " Disrespect? You're not worth respecting nor are you worth the soles beneath my feet. But for ruining my gown I will make you pay. "

When she made an attempt to grab Clarissa by the hair, the two guards as well as Leonard stopped her.

"Let her through. I'd like to see what she wants to do to me. "

The guards were conflicted. The king gave clear instructions that nothing should happen to the princess. King Kieran rarely got angry but when he did, there were serious consequences to be paid.
