He smirked and looked down at her, a devilish smile in his eyes that set her nerves frantic. 

"Since you find my servants unsuitable to serve your needs, you might be the best person to serve them yourself."

"Ex... excuse me?!" she spluttered in shock. 

"Dimitri. she will be washing her clothes herself and will be cleaning her room as well." he said turning to his most trusted servant. “I am quite sure she is capable of running her bath and dressing herself... "

"How dare you?... " she asked harshly at the insult. 

"Would you like to prepare your meals and perhaps do the dishes as well?" Kieran asked looking back at her with a glint in his eyes. 

But she remained silent and shocked beyond belief. 

"I thought as much. Well we will be leaving you to your chores." he said stepping on her clothes as he walked out with the maid and Dimitri. 

"And by the way," he said stopping just outside the door. "I'd hate to see my castle looking untidy. So unless you wish to face the consequences, I suggest you do a good job."

This time he walked off without stopping and the sound of her screeches echoed off the walls.

Burning Hatred: Entwined Destinies

They moved to the front desk where people were gathered. It was a brown counter made of oakwood and people waited in lines to be attended to.

In front of the desk was a young red haired girl who appeared to be of the same age as Clarissa.

She had a smile on her face ready to greet wvery customer. Despite the heat and noise, she never lost that smile.

She had noticed the royal carriage when it stopped at the front of the store. Her vampire hearing aided her in hearing the sound the horses made as well as every other part of the carriage. And she noticed that the carriage was in good shape with the horses also well cared for.

It was definitely one of the rich folks.

But it surprised her a little to see them walk in here. Although, her father normally had requests from those living on the other side of the market, it was rare and they usually sent their servants to fetch her father.
