Alison strolled her luggage along with the airport terminal floors, announcements being called occasionally. Pausing, she waited for Paige, who smiled apologetically at her.
"Sorry for the delay. Just had to get this for Spence." She wriggled a little foreign object.
"Spence loves this, this is his special collection, he would be bumped if I could not bring one."
Spence was Paige fiancé.
Alison smiled, "I am not annoyed, let's go get a cab."
Paige nodded, strolling along with Alison looking for a cab, "I don't see any," Paige muttered.
Just then a man held a board with a huge writing FORT and ARCH, who looked like a driver. He wore an all-black outfit, his hair a bit blond. He had a bright smile on his face as he approached them.
Alison stared at him warily, security conscious, "Hi, you must be Ms Alison,"
"Yes, and this is Paige." she pointed to Paige who waved mildly.
"Hi, I am Garret, I was asked by Madam Rebecca to bring you two to your hotel."
Alison stared at him confused, exchanging glances with Paige who smiled at the news.
"Well, that is great, let's go. Here are my bags it should go back there in the boot." Paige said excitedly handing her bags to Garrett, who smiled at her enthusiasm.
"Hold on," said Alison, the two stopped in their tracks turning their heads to her wondering the reason for her call.
"Paige and I haven't to checked in to any hotel here, would you kindly recommend any suitable one and drive us there."
"True, I forgot about that for a while," Paige added in agreement with Allison.
"You don't need to worry about that. Your hotel accommodation has been covered that is where I am taking you to," Garrett announced, a smile on his face.
"Our hotel accommodation has been covered?" Paige asked, baffled a bit.
Garret nodded, collecting their luggage and dropping it into the boot.
"By whom?" Alison asked, racking her head for any possible explanation.
"By Leonardo Adriano."
*
Alison could not get over the fact that Leonardo had their accommodation covered and reserved for them, here in his father hotel. As they drove past the gate into the luxury hotel, Paige had her jaw-dropping at such sight of affluence.
"Oh my God, my whole year income would not be able to make me live here for a month. Talk less than three months, Alison. Three months!" She breathed her disbelief. Alison just had her mind reeling over such a show of generosity.
He was bound to do this, given that he specifically asked for her to be his supervisor.
Anyways, she was going to welcome this dash of luxury with open hands.
Imagine all the fancy food she could eat here, French cuisine, what about Italian?
Or those fancy finger food, she thought about the fact that a Jacuzzi might be in her room.
Garret stopped in front of the entrance, even the entrance smelt of wealth, the pillars were coated in gold, with a fancy crystal fountain just a few meters away.
Garret got down and opened the door for the ladies, Alison wasn't used to this kind of treatment, as for Paige she looked as if she was right in heaven, her blue eyes a bit brighter and her pale skin was thoroughly flushed.
They were so awed they forgot to open the doors themselves, Alison noticed when Garret opened the door for her and Paige to get down, "Oh... didn't notice we stopped, sorry!" they apologized, getting down from the sleek car.
They stood by a pavement watching Garret bring out their bags, Alison felt the need to inquire about something bothering her, so she asked, "Tell me, Garret, why were you holding our company's name, if you were going to drive us there."
He dropped the last of the bags facing her respectfully, "Ma'am, Rebecca, purchased our services, and asked to drive you here. I work for this hotel as a driver to pick up all our exclusive clients and since Sir Leo had you checked in it was compulsory for us to bring you here. Given that, you were unaware. "
With one last bow, he turned around to his driver car, "See you around Garret," Paige half yelled at him.
She loves this place, "Alis if I had known earlier I would have become your assistant for this project long ago. Was this also the type of hotel you stayed in last week?"
Alison chuckled lightly, it was nice to see Paige in a fun mode instead of her monotonic office self, "Come let's go check ourselves in."
As they entered the reception hall, Alison was awed for the second time. Okay! they get it, only the rich get to see these fancy things, people would start looking if they keep on with their jaw-dropping.
Everyone here smells of money, wealth and affluence, so they should not act like some ladies who haven't seen luxury before.
On the left side of the hotel was a bonding area, it was moderately noisy with people voices combined to be one big mixture of voices, to the other side further down there was a bar and a lobby for waiting for guests.
Paige took her time, taking her time looking around as Alison went to the reception area where a woman with red hair packed into a loose bun smiled at her.
"Hi, I am Alison and over there is my friend Paige."
How was she going to say this, she would look like a freeloader eating off a rich man.
"Erm...we have a reservation here."
"Welcome, let me just check." She tapped furiously at her computer and widened her eyes, giving Alison her best smile.
"Please have a seat over there, I would get someone to get your things to your suite," The red hair replied, punching the telephone.
Suite? Not a room, what would she use a suite for.
Looking over to the place where the Receptionist pointed, she saw it was designated VIP LOUNGE.
Gulping, she watched as Paige came to her, they both walked to the area looking different in her homemade sweater and western jean. She smiled warily at the people in the lobby unlike the other lobby, the individuals here were more composed with a man who looked like a government official two security guards hovering over him.
Everyone here breathed official, except her, Paige was in her usual office wear. Black trousers and a blue navy button-up shirt.
They watched her in a scrutinizing way as she made herself to the chair a bit further away from them. Paige had a very conspicuous grin on her
.
"Tell me, who is the Leonardo guy? Because he is loaded, I am sure these people are very important government officials or businessmen and women. Here we are, an architect and her assistant enjoying such luxury."
"Shh... I feel so awkward here, yet they call me uptight look, they have no smile on their faces," Alison muttered, taking a scan of the people there.
Further away from her, a woman dressed in African attire spoke to someone through her phone. She looked like an exotic foreigner, her ears housing a long earring, her face was made up in a sophisticated manner, her lips coated in a light shade of red contrasting a bit with her dark skin.
Two seats away from her was a man who scrolled his phone with a scowl on his face, his eyes met with Alison, and he scanned her through, snorting he turned back to his phone.
Alison felt humiliated, wishing she could say something rude to him.
As for Paige, she relaxed more into the seat sipping a juice, Alison narrowed her eyes at Paige, "Where do you get that from?" She asked.
"Oh... A server gave it to me, I thought you weren't interested, should I call him back?"
"No... Don't bother."
Paige smiled and shrank further into her comfort zone, "I could get used to this life," she muttered, Alison rolled her eye at her freeloading attitude.
A man dressed in black trousers with a waistcoat and a bow tie stood in front of Alison, "Please madam come with me," he said. Alison stood and Paige followed suit, "To where?"
"Your suite."
Okay, Alison wasn't sure she was on earth anymore, what she needed was a hotel room, not a suite.
What was she? A president.
"There is no need for that, what I need is a room, not a suite," She tried to dissuade the man who looked like the queen of England butler.
His back stood straighter as he tweaked his nose, his moustache following the movement, "No ma'am your room and the miss beside you are to stay in a suite, that is the boss order. Please come with me," he gave no room for argument.
What if all this is a huge mistake, and they were made to pay for their stay. Her whole year pay divided by half might probably suffice.
They strolled alongside the reception hall into an elevator. It was empty and very neat, listening to the jazz song that played, they waited until the ding sound was heard.
With the elevator door opening, it resembled a curtain covering an item hidden from sight. With each slide of the elevator, Alison was sure no luxury could match what she saw.
The hallway of the luxurious suite itself gleamed in the sunlight, the walls were made of glass with an overhead cream curtain.
Opening the door to one, Alison saw her bags and Paige's in one corner.
With one swift glance, Alison was shocked beyond reality.
"I would leave you two, make yourself at home. If you need anything, just call."
With that, he left them.
Presently they were in the living room, a mirror-like TV hugged the wall. The other side of the room was pure glass, to the east of the living there was a little kitchenette. The furniture was either imported or very expensive, an Arabian rug stayed at the centre of the living room. Paige ran her hands through the furniture and the spotless walls, which was covered in golden wallpaper.
They walked into the two rooms. A huge bed stayed in the middle and a little chandelier clung from the ceiling.
The light in the room was moderate and bright. A little work desk stood close to the wall.
Opening the door in the room, led to a bathroom.
It was spotless with its white ceramic basins and a modern shower stand.
She watched as Paige bounced in the bed, "You know what Alis, I don't mind getting used to this kind of luxury?" She said, her voice drowning as she relaxed more into the bed.
Who does? Alison asked inwardly.
She stared more into the bathroom, and a smile grew on her face.
There it was, her personal Jacuzzi.
