Chapter 12: The culprit.
Dad: What are you talking about?
Kenji: When I was rescuing someone from basement I smelt gasoline so I just recovered the hard disk from the security room. If we check the footage we can find the culprit.
Kamui woods: Are you serious? good job retrieving evidence but don't put yourself in danger anymore.
Kenji: Thank you for the advice.
Kamui woods was thinking ' I thought this kid would speak some nonsense again but he is acting quiet mature in front of his parents ' ' or it is just me? am I that gullible?'
After their talk the police confiscated the evidence and noted down my report about the incident. Father then went and checked on the patients that are involed in the accident and asked about their wellbeing. He then asked the emergency workers to bring them to city first affiliated hospital for treatment as the Dean of the hospital is my father's friend it seems.
Soon the culprit was revealed. He was our previous regional manager who got caught embezzling company funds for insurance. Previously my grandpa decided to punish him by submitting the evidence to the police. He was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and the revenue department confiscated his properties.
I think this incident is his revenge and he thought the security footage would be destroyed but unfortunately for him it did not. He was arrested for attempted murder and a lot of criminal charges.
The funny thing about how there was gasoline in the incident was his quirk is gasoline. He can urinate gasoline like flammable liquid. What kind of quirk is that, it's like gintama version of bakugo's powers.
Good thing that no one died or severely injured if not it would be saddening.
Right now I'm in my house having dinner with everyone. My parents and grandparents are discussing about today's incident and we're lamenting that people are not so reciprocative and they are not capable of reforming themselves after making a mistake blah blah blah(A/N: Yup I just wrote blah blah blah).
Suddenly all eyes gathered on me, what's happening did I say something wrong? Did my thoughts just leak out. Did they hear me thinking they are bantering like they were going to stop All For One just by talk no Jutsu.
Grandma: Ken-chan why did you run towards a building that is burning down? I know that you are very powerful now but you should consider that you are not a hero yet. Nowadays vigilantism is looked down upon and legally wrong. Next time don't do this kind of daredevil stunts got it?
Ken-chan: yes grandma.
Grandpa: So grandson how was your first experience in saving someone?
Ken-chan: I didn't feel anything in the beginning but when they thanked me, I felt accomplished and satisfied. It was weird but it felt good.
Grandma: I'm happy you felt like that but being hero is not only for self satisfaction and to earn praise. Being hero is when people lose hope in everything but you carry their hopes and dreams so they can live safely. It's not like people always praise you for what you are doing. Some people find faults even if you saved them. So don't save someone expecting compliments.
Kenji: Ok grandma I understand. But did someone about you for saving them, the way you speak it seemed like you experienced this kind of thing before?
Grandpa: Hahaha, let me tell you something once when your grandma was fighting a villain side bones protrude from everywhere from his body, she didn't want to get hurt so she just hurled him here and there so she could knock him down. In this process she damaged a whole 2 story building.
Grandma: Shut up oldman, if don't I'll make you shut it.
Kenji: What crime did he commit grandpa to make grandma this angry?
Grandpa: Hahaha, this is the funny part he was disturbing everyone in that hotel asking someone to hit him until he bleeds they thought he was a pervert and a few ladies shouted. Your grandma thought it was a very serious call for help and tried to fight him hard and the end result the villain got what he wanted but your grandma only got scolding from the management. Hahahaha Hahaha.
Hearing this story everyone laughed while heartedly but grandma was fuming. I thought grandpa got the what end of the stick today but my dad went even further.
Dad: Did mom really did that. I didn't know this happened.
Grandpa: This happened in our second date. You wouldn't know.
Dad: But you still married mom after that? Is this true love?
Grandpa: You can say that, ( grandpa went near father's ear and told-) if I rejected her after that I was afraid the next bashing was for me, so I just went along and here we are.
Kenji: Grandpa you do know that we all can hear you right?
Grandpa: huh? Dad: huh?
* bang* bang*
Both grandpa and dad were thrown out of dining room by grandma she then went to her room. We couldn't pretend anymore and both me and mom laughed our *ss off. It's kinda funny when I think about it, at first I thought she was calm and collected type but got to know that she turns into a demon when she's angry. Now OMG she was a impatient tsundere when she was young. God help grandpa and dad.
I went to my grandma who was supposed to be sulking but she was smiling looking at the picture of her and grandpa when they were young.
Kenji: Grandma, Grandpa said that just as a joke please dont kill him.
Grandma: Baka Ken-chan, I was just reminiscing that day when I beat the shit out of that villain
Kenji: And broke a hotel
Grandma just stared at me hard and continued her story.
Grandma: I asked him 'do you still like me? because I'm so impulsive' Did you know what he said? 'I wanted to kiss you after our first date I wasn't impulsive and couldn't do it but you wanted to beat the day lights out of the villain and you did it. That's what I like about you most'. That's when I fell for him.
Kenji: Grandma did you really fell for that corny line, seriously grandma I was expecting much better story from you.
Grandma just knocked my head and turned away laughing.
Kenji: Then what grandma did grandpa kiss you after that?
Grandma: Who? Your grandpa? He didn't have the guts to do that and he just said that. Anyway I pushed him against a wall took his first kiss.
Kenji: Really grandma? a reverse kabe-don? Were you a romance protogonist in your previous life?
Grandma just laughed hearing that.
Kenji: So who proposed first. Is it you or grandpa?
Grandma: It was your grandpa. Surprising right? I was also surprised when he did that. I thought I was going to do that because I know your grandpa was a wimp but on the day he came to propose me he went to all the shrine in the vicinity of his home and came to me while carrying a lot of incense
It seems he was half way in finishing his prayer for courage. I asked him 'what are you doing?' he was very nervous and blabbered that 'I was planning on proposing to you today I didn't have the courage so I went to every shrine in the vicinity' then he realised what he said and he was embarrassed. But he got the courage to propose to me.
Kenji: Hahahaha. It's funny. It seems grandpa was not so brave. But he doesn't seem so now, I could always tell grandpa always oozes confidence.
Grandma: He was the same back then too, except for the time when he was with me he was a cool and collected man. Ken-chan come here.
Kenji: What is it grandma?
My grandma asked me to come near her i thought she was going to tell me grandpa's dirty secret but she hugged me and kissed on my forehead. I was surprised by this sudden show of love. I was naturally happy and hugged her back but I asked her,
Kenji: Grandma, what is it? why so much affection all of a sudden?
Grandma: I'm so happy Ken-chan. You saved a lot of people today and grandma is so proud of you. The talk downstairs was to make you know that all kinds of people exist in this world but now I want to praise my grandson for doing such a good job. And be ready for tomorrow's surprise.
Kenji:huh? what surprise?
