Trouble

"What are you referring to?" Lucian asks, feigning confusion.

"I know you're hiding the girl."

"The girl? What are you talking about, Damian?"

"Cassandra!" He growls,"I know you have her. Why?"

She feels herself freeze as his words sink in. She doesn't know or recognize him, so how does he know her?

"I will ask one more time, only. Why do you have my prey?"

He grabs Lucian by his collar, picking him up so they're face to face.

"You've been working on this?"

"Yes," He seethes,"Now, where is she?"

"If you explain to me what's going on, I will tell you."

Her fear grips her, leaving her frozen in place. Would he just give her to him to avoid the trouble? They really don't even know each other, he just seems gentler. More caring, but is that real? Can she really trust him?

Damian sighs,"I was...undercover, as you would call it. Everything was so close to being perfect. All she had to do was show up and I'd have her. But, she disappeared and now she's here. How? Why did you take her, to save someone from being my prey?"

"You infiltrated her life? Why?"

"Her soul is mine," He growls, dropping Lucian,"I already have her lover's soul, all I need is hers and I'll be out of your house."

She notices that his smile is wide. A crazy, sadistic smile. It doesn't stop her emotions from boiling over. Her friends are her family, her way out of her parent's "perfect dream child" bullshit. And, now this...demon made a plan for her?

"My life is my own," She feels her blood boil,"Why does everyone think they can control me?!"

Damian pauses,"Can I ask why your closet is on fire?"

Lucian gives him a confused gaze,"What are you talking about?"

"You mean, you don't see it?"

"No," He hesitated, "I don't see the fire that you do."

"I think I found where she is, then."

Damian smiles, slowly making his way to her hiding spot. Her fear threatens to return, but rage overcomes everything. She hasn't ever had a choice over own life, has she? First, her parents try to shape her into their perfect "normal child" and now he thinks he can take Natalia and her? She tries to calm herself as he walks closer. His pace is slow, as if trying not to spook prey. This only causes her anger to grow. She isn't some weak little kid. She's strong, and she doesn't need someone controlling her life.

She bursts the closet doors open, noticing fire surrounding her,"Do you honestly think you can control my life? Who do you think you are?"

His grin only fans the flames. He doesn't answer her, simply grins as if he has won.

"You have Natalia's soul?"

"Indeed. It is nice to meet you in my own body."

His grin never falters. but his eyes tell a different story. He doesn't look happy. The opposite even, he looks empty.

"Why?"

"Why do I have her soul or why the interference in your life?"

"Both," She seethes through gritted teeth.

"Why don't we speak in the living room?"

She eyes him angrily, "Fine."

She stares at the door, willing it to open with a mere thought. She isn't sure how she's doing this, but her anger takes the wheel and it happens. The door is open, with the other two looking back at her.

Damian simply makes some sort of irritatingly smug noise, but walks out of the room first. Lucian remains behind, looking at her worriedly.

"Did you always have an ability?"

"I don't know," She sounds angrier than she means to,"I just feel so angry, I'm tired of everyone trying to control my life. And, taking my girlfriend? What kind of-"

"Do you recognize or know Damian?"

"No, this is the first I have run into him."

Lucian looks down quietly, almost shamefully,"We have some explaining to do, I am sorry this happened."

"Based on what he said," Her anger begins to calm,"He's been watching me for awhile. You didn't know, this isn't your fault."

Lucian nods, but doesn't say anything else. They walk into the living room in silence. Everything is silent, and everyone looks solemn. Well, except Damian. He's smirking as if he has won something important.

"Explain," She says firmly, seating herself away from him.

She notices that Shadow had dropped a snack he had been eating. The mood of the entire room must have ruined his appetite. He looks over at her and nods, giving an irritated but sorry look.

"I don't really have to, do I?"

"If you want to live, I'd advise that you do."

"If you kill me, you'll hurt Natalia, though. Right? How long have you had those abilities. anyway? You don't seem very in control."

His tone is smug, cocky. His grin matches that, but again, his eyes don't. Lucian looks between the two, seeming to be unsure of what to say or do. Shadow still doesn't touch his food, and Julien looks lost.

"What is going on? What am I missing here?"

"When did you infiltrate my life?"

"Hmm...that's hard to say. How old are you?"

"You mother-"

Her blood boils as he grins at her. He isn't answering her questions, but what else is she to expect.

"Are you a demon?"

"Now, that is a question I can answer-"

She holds him by his throat, holding him in the air.

"Yes, I am."

Her rage grows as she stares at him hard. His eyes flicker with an unknown emotion, but it's too short to decipher.

"Is there even a way to get her back?"

"There is, but it's through me."

She doesn't speak, she simply drops him back onto the couch. Hard.

His grin remains,"You'll have to find out yourself."

He isn't going to be of any help. And, this situation is giving her a headache.

"If anyone needs me, you know where to find me. But, I need time alone."

She notices a transparent hand point at Damian as a warning. She's around strangers, and one knows how to irritate her. How to dig under her skin and really add salt to the wound. Maybe even lemon. She can tell one thing, her ability is attached to her emotions. So, if she wants to control this ability or find out what else she can do, she'd have to control her emotions.

"This is gonna be difficult," She thinks to herself,"If I want to find a way to end this situation, I have to."
