CHAPTER 11: FACE-SLAPPING 2

As she listened to her young lady's profanity, Nanny Juliet chuckled. She felt much better and more reassured that her young lady would never pursue that jerk who broke her heart, realizing that the day her young lady's eyes opened finally arrived.

Her young lady was often too naive, which caused her to be overly trusting, and villains like Amy were given the same privilege. Amy had always annoyed Nanny Juliet since she liked to do stuff in Arianna's name.

Nanny Juliet once overheard Amy and one of her friends talking about something that angered her. She tried to warn her young lady, but it didn't work, so she's been doing her best to minimize their interactions, but the more she does, the more Lady Arianna found her irritating.

Nanny felt relieved to know that a day when her young lady would say such horrible words causing Amy's face to darken as if she had smeared charcoal to her face.

Arianna was back in the lounge, munching on her snacks and chatting with Amy. She didn't give Amy another chance to talk about Lucas since she knew Amy wasn't here to help her, but rather to provoke her into doing something crazy.

Arianna was not about to waste this chance for anyone; she had a loving family, so why should she let a mini-villainess to control her life and ruin everything for her?

"So, what are your plans for the future? Will you be taking classes when the semester begins, or will you be recuperating at home?" Amy inquired, her voice laced with concern.

Arianna's brows furrowed as she contemplated the situation. She was going to school because she couldn't let this possibility to cause damage pass her by. What she wasn't sure about was the source of this little missy's anxiety.

"Of course, I'm going to school, It's not as if I have a brain injury. Besides, I'm not the first or the last person to attempt suicide over a boy," Arianna brushed it off as if it didn't matter, and Amy became infuriated.

"Are you not afraid that people would.... stare at you...umm"

Amy didn't have to finish because Arianna already knew where she was headed, but was it of any significance to her? No, she was the daughter of a duke, and will anyone persecute her because of it? She didn't think anyone will be that daring unless they are tired of living

"when have I Arianna ever worried about what other people think? You don't have to be concerned about me, cousin. I am very strong, and if anyone bothers me, I will have dad deal with them," Arianna boasted her family's power as though it were her own.

Amy gritted her teeth as she saw Arianna's shamelessness after her near-death experience. She would have believed Arianna was possessed if she hadn't seen Arianna in person.

"I suppose that'll do. All that matters is that you are safe and sound," Amy conceded, knowing that if she fought back, she would end up exposing herself to Arianna, which would be catastrophic.

"We shouldn't talk about the sad stuff. D id you bring me any books or movies to pass the time, cousin?" Arianna asked, her eyes wide with anticipation.

Amy felt relieved when she saw this because she wasn't sure how to give those things to her, especially with how she had been acting since Amy came.

"I figured you'd be bored, so I brought some movies and books. I also thought we should go to the movies when you're feeling better; a new film is coming out in two days, and I wanted to see it with you.

"Really, Thanks. I would love that," Arianna spoke enthusiastically as she stretched her porcelain hands in such a way that Amy wished she could cut them off, but she was a clever girl, and she would wait as patience was her middle name.

Amy took out two DVD cases and two novels that she had brought with her from her leather purse. Because Arianna was lying down, the great Amy had no choice but to serve her by handing over the items in her hands, which irked her considerably.

Arianna smirked heartily inwardly as she stared at the wronged Amy, but Amy would probably blow her top off if she knew Arianna was just getting started.

Arianna gave Amy a gentle smile as she accepted the present. Arianna was certain that she will learn some particularly vile methods of dealing with betrayal, especially that commoner girl with whom Lucas had become engaged to.

"Thank you, Amy; these are wonderful. I finished the batch you gave me the last time, but with these new ones, I won't be bored while I'm stuck in these walls," Arianna exclaimed cheerfully, causing Amy to scowl.

How could she be such a dolt? Amy wondered if Arianna was just acting or if she was really a fool, but it didn't matter as long as she got the result she desired.

"If you finish them, I'll find more," Amy offered, like the little two-good-shoes she was.

Arianna beamed brightly and nodded her head like a rattle drum when she heard that. "I won't hesitate but call you and when the time comes for the movie premiere, just come and get me; I'll be around. It's been far too long since I've been away from home."

Amy was relieved to know that Arianna had agreed to come out. She planned on teaching her a lesson she would never forget. Amy smiled amiably at Arianna, who had stars in her eyes as she read the book blurb; knowing that her target had fallen for the trap put her in a good mood; only if she knew what Arianna was thinking, she would die of rage.

Inside the lounge, Arianna was engrossed in the first novel; she found the book to be quite captivating and couldn't put it down once she started. Amy, on the other hand, was focused on her phone, sending texts with a smile on her face. The second she read the message from V-money notifying her that she had received a large sum, her smile grew even wider.

[It's a pleasure doing business with you.]

Amy smiled as soon as she sent the text, then cast a sly glance at Arianna, who seemed to be enjoying the books she had brought with her. She planned to make Arianna suffer and pay for all of the humiliation she had endured in the past, and that day was approaching fast.
