CHAPTER 23: LEGACY

Since she was staying at the mansion, Leah had reported everything to Arianna every day when she returns.

Arianna, who had heard about Leah's dilemma, decided to open a new café with her newfound wealth. Leah was excited when she heard that Arianna had agreed to her proposal, as being acknowledged was a huge accomplishment for her.

Arianna had chosen Legacy as the name of the café after the two had discussed it. She decided to simply form a company to make things easy in the future.

Arianna had kept her activities hidden from the rest of the family until now because they all valued her privacy. Her parents had returned, but they rarely stayed at home due to their obligations, which was quite convenient for her.

Marylyn fell behind work during the month Arianna was in the hospital because she was preoccupied with watching her. Marylyn was catching up on her work now that Arianna was doing better, and Arianna didn't mind because she was still too lazy to go out.

Leah didn't let her down and found Maria, who assisted her in registering for the company using her contacts. Everything was going to be done in two days, which wasn't a huge problem to her because the system and the individuals who helped her were both quite efficient.

Leah kept herself busy while she waited for the company to be incorporated by running around getting quotes for store equipment.

Arianna also realized she had neglected her employee at this moment and reflected on herself. Arianna didn't want to spend her own money, so she complained to her mother one night when she was home, and the problem was remedied the next day.

When Leah saw the white sedan, she was shocked and moved at the same time. She was supposed to be going to the warehouse to check on the equipment. She'd been given the car to use anytime she wanted to get somewhere.

Apart from her car, she didn't need to use any other mode of transportation. She was also handed a bank card, which she will use for her daily expenses. Arianna specifically ordered her to go shopping and get new clothes, a phone, a tablet, and a laptop for her personal use using that card.

Leah didn't want to spend that much money, but her Miss insisted, so she did as she was told. She already had a driver's license, so she didn't have to worry about finding driver to drive her when she could drive herself.

With the most of her problems solved, she drove away from the mansion in a cheerful mood, her new car making things easier for her as she drove straight to the first company to check for merchandise.

Aside from the equipment, Leah needed personnel to man the store, which would be challenging because she wanted employees who would be loyal to her Miss and not jump ship the moment something goes wrong.

Leah finally came to an agreement with one company that was slightly less expensive than the others while still offering high-quality equipment. With the help of the interior design firm she found, the company was in charge of installing everything. Certain matters should be left in the hands of experts.

Finally, the company was successfully registered, and Leah applied for a bank account for it, understanding that mixing business with pleasure would be a bad idea.

Everything was left in the hands of the accounting firm she hired, as she decided to engage an accountant to keep track of the café's finances in the future. She could do it alone, but she needed to be near Arianna to help her with her other needs.

Leah followed Maria to the store to purchase new clothes, which was an excellent idea given Maria's good fashion sense.

As she watched those clothes being paid for one by one, her heart began to bleed, but she knew that since her Masters had consented, everything was fine and she had nothing to worry about.

Leah also went to a recruiting agency and put in her request, as these folks seemed to be a little more trustworthy and would try their best to get the personnel she needed for the café. The sooner she gets them, the better, because they'll be able to plan the menus ahead of time and check if they can recreate what the young lady has prepared.

After resolving the problem with the first café, Leah went to the second real estate agency that was selling the other storefront and bought it without hesitation.

She didn't want to wait and procrastinate because she was concerned that it might be purchased by someone else.

If that happens, she will be seriously impacted, and her Miss may give her a negative review. If she has the money, she should put it to good use, as long as it is for a good cause.

Leah also called the company that sold her the other equipment, and she delegated responsibility for the other storefront to them with the help of the same interior design firm.

Both stores couldn't open on the same day, but she could open them one after the other because pushing them to deal with the second store would only make things more difficult for everyone.

When Leah had finished dealing with everything, she felt liberated because all she had to do now was monitor the progress of the stores and conduct interviews for the café on the given date, which was a week away.

On her day off, Leah decided to pay a visit to her mother. She didn't want her mother to continue working at the factory, but she knew she wouldn't agree right away, so she was going to wait until she has her paycheck in hand, hoping that her mother would be persuaded and take a rest.

Her mother began to cry as she saw her getting out of the car. How could she hide her joy and amazement when she saw her? Leah could only console her mother by giving her a warm hug.

Leah decided to spend some time with her mother, and the two spent a wonderful day together. When her younger brother arrived, the three of them shared a warm meal as a family, and the house was filled with laughter and joy.

"Mom, when I get paid, let's go to the hospital together." When they were washing plates, Leah told her mother, "It's time for you to retire."

Susan gave a weak smile to her daughter, knowing that Leah was worried and concerned about her. "All right, I'll do that; just don't overwork yourself." Susan answered sincerely and truly, "I still want to hold my grandchildren in the future," and Leah smiled happily as soon as she heard this because she knew she had finally convinced her mother, which was a huge accomplishment for her.
