Going to Mars

It took a lot of convincing to get Felicia to let Zeta go. She wasn't up for the idea of letting him leave the planet for almost a week only a few days after they began dating.

"You better come back alive you piece of shit." She insulted.

"Even if I'm trapped in the infinite vacuum of space, I won't die." He kissed her and was able to escape her embrace.

Even for a serial killer like Zeta, his heart felt heavier after seeing Felicia with tears bordering her eyes. He never really dated women in his previous life, only gave them the nights of their lives when it was convenient to do so. Therefore, actually dating a woman put emotion in his heart, even if he didn't want it to.

His heavy heart didn't last long however, he packed his luggage in his car and made his way to the Avenger's tower. He wanted to slap Natasha for her sly ways, but she said that Tony wouldn't have it any other way. So, he had to stand out to S.H.I.E.L.D. and walk through the whole Avenger's tower to get to the spaceship on top of it.

Their agreement didn't say that she couldn't subtly shine a spotlight on Zeta, simply that she couldn't do anything directly.

He saw Natasha waiting for him near the front desk.

"I'm annoyed that you found the loophole so early." He complained.

"It'll still take some time before they try to approach you." She replied with a smile.

"In the meantime, make sure you're the one observing me. I'd prefer not having a guy watching my every action." Zeta spoke.

"I'll see what I can do." Natasha grinned

The two of them rode the elevator up to one of the highest floors. Zeta allowed Natasha lead, for various reasons that don't need to be said.

The majority of the Avengers were lounging around the landing zone with Tony.

"So, this is the guy you've been vouching for?" Tony asked while eyeing Zeta.

"I owe him a favor." She replied.

"Nice to meet you." Zeta extended his hand.

"Yeah, yeah, sure." Tony replied, not shaking his hand. "So why do you want to go to Mars?" He asked.

"I have business there." Zeta mysteriously replied.

"Listen, I didn't build a spaceship just for you to void details on why." Tony was annoyed.

"Want to make a bet?" Zeta asked.

"...what's up for grabs?" He replied.

"If I win, I get to keep the spaceship. If you win, I'll give you answers." Zeta smiled.

"Do you really think your answers are equal to a fucking spaceship, handmade by me?" Tony scoffed.

"You'll have a lot of questions about what happens there." Zeta mysteriously spoke.

"You probably will, Tony." Natasha backed him up.

"..." Tony stared her down for a second. "What's the bet?" He asked.

"If you can find anything about me before a month ago, you win." Zeta spoke.

"That's it? Ok then. JARVIS, find all you can about him." Tony commanded.

"Yes, sir." An AI's voice spoke.

"I'll give you 15mins." Zeta told Tony. He then sat down and pulled out a book to start reading.

"Think Tony will win?" Steve asked Natasha.

"No." She replied and left without explaining herself.

For the next 15mins, Tony was waiting to hear JARVIS' voice telling him that he found something on the man in front of him, however, the voice never came.

"Sir, there are no recorded documents about that man earlier than 2 weeks ago." JARVIS spoke after the 15mins were over.

"I guess I own the ship now, let's go." Zeta jumped onto the ship.

"What the fuck? You cheated!" Tony followed him as he yelled.

"If you can't prove that I cheated, it doesn't matter." Zeta laughed and sat down in one of the seats.

Begrudgingly, Tony sat down in the seat next to him.

The ship took a couple of minutes to charge up and such, but once everything was ready, it took off without warning. There wasn't even a countdown.

Tony could be seen slightly panicking as he held onto the straps that confined him in the chair.

"You're the one that didn't add a countdown feature." Zeta commented as he continued to read the book he was reading before. The incredible inertia didn't affect him.

Tony didn't bother responding, his first experience leaving the atmosphere wasn't good on the stomach. Especially not in a shitty spaceship made in 2 weeks.

The blueprints of the alien ships that invaded New York not too long ago definitely helped the modelling process, but most of the time was spent making the damn thing.

Anyway, the next two days were spent with the two either minding their own businesses or spitting venom at each other.

'It seems the Iron Man had a crush on Natasha.' Zeta laughed to himself. It was obvious to see that it was more than their personalities clashing. Tony didn't want to admit to himself that Zeta got Natasha's eye better than he did.

Of course, Natasha had no feelings for anyone currently, but an alien was a bit more entertaining to watch than an armored millionaire.

Zeta ended up going through many of the books that he brought with him on the way there. He'd probably have to re-read one or two on the way back. He sighed in annoyance.

Anyway, they soon landed on the surface of Mars. It was completely barren, not a single defining feature to speak of. The two of them put on their spacesuits and exited the ship.

Zeta immediately explored the surface of the new planet he found himself on.

"Where are you going?" Tony yelled as he followed.

Zeta searched around for a couple of hours. Tony eventually got tired of yelling and simply followed. They both had trackers for the ship, so they could return, but there were many things that could go wrong on a foreign planet, so it was best to stick together.

The first hour or so was fun for Tony to look around at the unfamiliar environment. Being on a different planet was far different than anything he'd ever experienced. However, boredom soon kicked in after seeing the same shade of orange for the 4th hour in a row.

All of a sudden, Zeta stopped.

"It's perfect." He commented.

"What's perfect?" Tony asked.

Of course, he got no answer, Zeta summoned the 'Repair Mech' that his Adeptus Mechanicus form had.

Tony watched as his partner on this planet summoned a little mech out of thin air. The mech then scanned the two hills in front of them. The two hills were conjoined without being one, so it was perfect for the two sections that Zeta wanted to implement.

[Notice!

Description: Do you want to hollow out these two hills and build a basic structure for a base?

Cost: 25 points]

He nodded to the mech and it instantly got to work. The little mech drilled into the two hills with drills it had on its hands. It then soon returned to Zeta.

[Phase 1 Completed!]

Zeta shot a confused glance at the mech for a second. Until...

*BOOM!*

An explosion could be heard on the surface of Mars. Both Tony and Zeta were surprised to see the interior of the two hills completely blown to smithereens. The mech returned to the now-hollow hills and fabricated steel and alloy to keep the hills from collapsing in on itself.

In only a few minutes, the mech returned. The interior had been completely redesigned, the ceilings and floors all completely made out of an unidentifiable metal.

[Phase 2 Completed!]

[Work Completed!]

"Let's enter." Zeta told Tony who was starstruck.

He soon entered to find the little mech that just hollowed out two hills fabricating two large building simultaneously. After a few minutes, they were completed.

[Resource Miner Completed!]

[Resource Refinery Completed!]

[Current Point Output: 25 points per day!]

'This is broken.' Zeta thought to himself. It took 200 points to make both of the structures, the miner feeding into the refinery. It would take 8 days for him to break even.

[Please do not compare normal miners and refinery to that of the system's. Naturally, ours is superior.] The system boasted.

[Current Balance: 180 points]

"We'll stay on this planet for one day." Zeta told Tony.

"What? Are you going to explain anything that just happened to me?" He asked.

"I would if you won the bet." Zeta smiled.
