Yamamoto Aito is psychologically affected by his ex's death and promises to avenge her. With the aid of his best friend, Shima Haruto, he began to destroy the lives of those whom he believes, killed her. Aito’s ultimate goal is to join her after completing his revenge for he deems himself as one of the reasons she died. 

Along came a new student, Igarashi  Ryu who destroys Aito’s plans and tarnishes what's left of his sanity by making him fall hopelessly in love with him. Aito  is now torn between his guilt and wanting the happiness Ryu gives him.

Ryu took a deep breath and exhaled heavily then released Aito, scooting back to put some space between them. He stared Aito in the eyes and smiled sadly. "I know I did things you may never be able to forgive me for but I'll wait Aito. I want to believe that you still have feelings for me, no matter how little so, I'll wait. I'll wait for you to heal and call me back. No matter how long it takes." 


The last sentence reverberated within Aito's mind. 'No matter how long it takes'. It sounded like a promise. 


He didn't say anything. He couldn't. His chest felt stuffy. The Ryu before him and the Ryu crying in the rain were overlapping and his emotions were surging. 


Ryu noticed and his features softened. He didn't want to overwhelm Aito so he laughed and ruffled Aito's hair. "Don't think too much okay. Brush your teeth and go to bed. I'll clean up." 


Aito didn't refuse. He didn't feel like doing anything anyway.
