AT EIGHT o'clock in the evening while having dinner, Daisy mentioned her plan to go home the next day.
"Why Daisy?" Gregorio asked the girl. He reached for the table napkin and wiped his mouth.
Some students stopped chewing food on what Daisy said, apart from Maureen and Charlotte who first found out about Daisy's plan.
"Why Daisy, is there a problem?" Asked Alyssa.
"Did Alyssa and I do something you didn't like?" Maggie asked. She carefully placed the spoon on the side of the plate. Maggie just thought Daisy might be mad at them. Because they were noisy, especially to her, Daisy might feel like she was out of place.
"Of course not!" Daisy laughed. "My dad is in the hospital."
"Is that so, so sad. What happened to him?" Alyssa continues eating her dinner.
"Mild stroke," Daisy answered.
Daisy looked at the Artist, he is silent as if it was deep in thought.
"Sir?" Daisy calls attention to him. The Artist seemed surprised. "I would like to let you know that I'm going home tomorrow."
Gregorio took a deep breath. "No problem, I'll let you go home, I'll send you to Mang Nestor in town tomorrow." He said secretly clenching the fists hidden under the table.
The girl smiled with joy at what she heard.
"Oh, thank you so much, Sir," Daisy was very grateful.
"We're going to miss you here," Noel said as he chewed what he was eating in his mouth.
"Just be careful tomorrow on your trip," Carlos said. Daisy smiled at him.
"I will miss you guys too, as well as you Sir. Now I will thank you for your permission. And for accepting us here in your Mansion." Daisy said facing the Artist.
"Let's continue dinner first, I'll talk to you later Daisy. "Gregorio said and looked at the girl.
The expression on the girl's face who also looked at the Artist seemed surprised.
"Come to me later on the third floor, I have paintings there that I will give to all of you. But since you will go home first, I will give the one for you first."
( All Scream, )
"Oh, really, thank you very much, Sir!" Daisy was very grateful to the artist.
"Oh Sir, I can't wait to see the painting you'll give me!" Noel said bluntly.
Noel's fellow students laughed.
Gregorio glanced at Noel. "All of you will receive, but Daisy will be the first because she will be home tomorrow."
"I'm just excited Sir, hehehe!" Noel said.
"All right, let's finish dinner," Gregorio changed the topic.
Everyone was happy and had a good meal. Except for the Artist who secretly thought of a bad plan for the girl, to Daisy!
AFTER dinner, the students talked about their plans to meet after a week's stay at the mansion.
When they felt drowsy, they said goodbye to each other as they were about to go up to their room.
"So, just be careful on your trip tomorrow, Daisy," said Charlotte while yawning.
"Thank you," Daisy replied with a smile.
The girls hugged Daisy. She hugged them back.
"We're going to miss you, Alyssa said and slightly distanced herself from Daisy. "Be careful," she added.
Daisy let go of them before speaking. "Thank you very much. All right, take a rest, you'll wake up early tomorrow."
"All right, Carlos and I will go to the bedroom now," Noel said he put his arm on Carlos' shoulder.
"Thank you very much. All right, you need to take a rest now, you'll wake up early tomorrow." Daisy said.
"Maureen and I are going up to the bedroom. Good night to all of us!" Charlotte said holding Maureen's right arm.
"Okay, good night to you too!" Daisy replied to them.
They turned around and started walking, Daisy watched them as they stepped on the stairs.
"You and Maggie just go to our bedroom first, I'll just follow you later."
"Why?" Alyssa asked in surprise.
"I'm going to Sir, there on the third floor, he said he'll talk to me. Besides, I'm excited to see the painting he'll give me!" Excitement is in the tone of Daisy's voice.
"Would you like Alyssa and me to go with you?" Maggie asked her.
"No need," Daisy replied.
"Okay, we'll just wait for you in the bedroom," Alyssa said, at that time she felt something strange. She was nervous but she did not know the reason.
They stepped up the stairs. Daisy led the two to the outside of their bedroom.
"Well, we'll be ahead of you. We'll just wait for you in the room." Alyssa said goodbye to Daisy, still not losing the nervousness she was feeling. The first thing that entered her mind was her parents, she was suddenly worried about them.
"If you're drowsy, just go to sleep, I'll be there for a while," Daisy said kissing the two girls.
"We're going in, be careful on the stairs." Maggie reminded Daisy. She entered the room first.
"All right, I'm going up," Daisy said goodbye to them.
Daisy had already left in front of Alyssa.
Alyssa's gaze followed Daisy's walk. She didn't enter the room until she saw that Daisy had reached the third floor.
She saw Daisy open the door of the room so she decided to enter their bedroom as well. She approached Maggie who was combing her hair and sitting in the middle of the bed.
"I'm nervous that I don't understand," Alyssa said and sat down on the side of the bed. "Do you think my parents in Manila are okay?" Alyssa asked her friend. Her parents were the ones she worried about when she felt nervous.
"You just drank too much coffee, Alyssa. You're just going to sleep, but you're still drinking coffee!" Maggie replied as she continued to comb her hair while counting.
“You’re still counting while combing your hair,” Alyssa commented to her friend. Alyssa got up from the bed, took her bag, and took her cellphone there. She wanted to call her mother but she ran out of loads for the call, so she just texted her.
"98,99,100!" Maggie finished counting. She looked at Alyssa. "Because most people say that when you comb up to one hundred, our hair will be beautiful and straight."
"And you believe it." Laughing she said. Maggie smirked at her.
After a while, her cellphone rang she turned on the screen. She saw a new message from her mother. Alyssa read her mother's message.
According to her mother, they were fine and lying in the bedroom to sleep. She took a deep breath.
"COME IN DAISY!" Gregorio said smiling when he saw the girl peeking at the door. Daisy went in and carefully closed the door.
"Good evening Sir," the girl greeted him.
"Come here, look at the drawing I made for you." The artist was still smiling at her.
The girl quickly complied.
"Is it beautiful?" Gregorio asked the girl who seemed stunned to see the painting.
"Oh my gosh!" Daisy exclaimed. "It's so beautiful Sir," she praised the Artist.
A woman who looks like a ballerina is drawn by the Artist. The woman seemed to be dancing, and her attire was beautiful.
"That's for you!" Gregorio said and stood up.
"Is this what you're going to give me Sir?" Daisy asked the Artist incredulously.
The Artist nodded in response to the girl.
"It's not over yet. Can you continue what I'm doing?" He asked the girl. "There are some parts of the drawing that I haven't painted yet, can you continue to paint it. My back hurts."
"Of course Sir, please take some rest," Daisy answered worriedly. Gregorio handed the paintbrush to the girl and the colorings she would use.
Daisy sat across from the canvass.
"It's up to you what color you want to use, you will also be the owner of that painting," Gregorio instructed the girl. He took a chair and sat next to her.
The girl had already started to paint, at first, she seemed nervous because her hands were shaking holding a paintbrush.
"Don't be nervous, you can do it!" Gregorio said as he noticed the girl's hand trembling.
Daisy sat down properly, cleared her throat, and continued painting again. She will just think that the Artist is not watching her.
A few minutes later, Daisy finished the painting. The amazement of the beauty of the painting was obvious on the girl's face.
"The painting is even better," Daisy's words seemed unbelievable.
"Sign it, Daisy," said the Artist as Daisy turned her head to him.
"Excuse me?" Daisy asked staring intently at the Artist.
The Artist smiled before he spoke. "Sign it, you will also be the owner of that painting."
"But Sir, you made it," Daisy said while pointing at the painting.
"I'll give it to you and you will be the owner of it. Maybe you won't sell it?"
