Grounded

It is 7 am and Rose was ready in her school uniform. She went down to eat her breakfast with her small family.

"I hope today you don't make any fuss in school anymore, Rose. I'm tired of those complaints about you"

Her older sister warned her.

'I'm tired of this too. It's not what I want in my life

After having breakfast they took their bags and head to the car which already waiting for them outside.

When they arrived at school, most of their schoolmates were also arriving at school make their way from the entrance to their respective classes.

'Here goes nothing. I hope today is a better day'

Rose made a small glance towards her twin. Teleporting what she felt during the time to her another half.

'Don't worry everything gonna is fine' the eyes of Ray told her.

She opened the door.

"Taappp"

All eyes on her. Make a weird and hateful glance towards her.

"uuhhmmmm...Ray?"

She gripped Ray's arm tightly as she felt scared and insecure. Realising the situation, Ray swiftly held Rose's hand to comfort her.

They walked together to their classes. Unfortunately, they are in different classes. So, Rose with a heavy heart let her hand off Ray's and courageously walked to her classroom.

During recess...

"Kriiiinnnggg!!!"

"Hey c'mon hurry or not the food gonna fill in others' stomach"

"On my way wait up"

Looking at her friends happy together head out for recess, she felt jealous and sad. She doesn't want to eat but actually, she tried to stay away from other people regarding her curse.

"Awww...Look at that. She looked like a stray dog, sitting alone, hated by people around her and being thrown away."

"Hahahahaha!!! A monster deserved to be treated that way"

"Who wants to befriend a monster. Unless a mentally ill patient or whoever wants to end their life fast"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

'Oh god. Their mouth stinks'

'Wish to let them die, hehehehe'

Rose's wrath grew as she heard her friends' bad mouthing about her. But she tried to pull herself together so as not to cause any more problem regarding her sister's warning.

'Urgh... I hope time flew away fast by now. I want to end this day fast'

She takes out a storybook, trying to distract herself from eavesdropping on what her friends talk about.

"Well well look at her"

"Bonjour young beautiful lady"

A husky voice interrupting her concentration on her reading. Her head banging upward as she heard a familiar voice. A voice that fluttered her heart every time she heard it.

"What do you want?"

She asked with a cold voice. It was the prince of the school or well-known as a famous playboy, Oliver Addison, also her crush.

"Aww, sweetheart. Don't be so cold."

Oliver tried to seek Rose's attention. But Rose keeps on staring at him with a cold stare trying to endure the butterflies in her stomach.

"I heard your friends abandoned you. Don't you feel a little lonely?"

Just a pair of cold eyes answer his question.

"Why did they abandon you? You and your friends were so close together, it's impossible to separate you guys away."

Silence.

"Or is it because of the rumours about your curse? Hmm?"

Rose gave him a smirk. Knowing that he will ask about her curse.

"I hate just to hear rumours, so I want to see it with my own eyes. Then, I can guarantee whether you are a monster or blood killer or whatever it is"

Hearing that makes Rose feel irritated.

'This has gone too far

"C'mon let me see it"

Oliver tried to reach for Rose's hand.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH M-"

Rose feels mad and raises her hand trying to slap Oliver's face. But Oliver is already one step ahead.

"Oops... sorry. Didn't know the wild kitty hate being a touch"

Oliver gripped Rose's hand tightly until she groaned in pain.

"What a beautiful hand! Didn't know that the blood running through this hand could cause death. Let me discover whether it was true or not"

He took out his other hand which was holding a sharp needle.

'Oh, God! Please don't!'

Her body shivers looking at the sharp needle.

"Oh? Are you scared?"

"Don't worry it won't hurt and you won't lose a lot of blood."

Oliver gave her the sweetest smile he had.

"You will know the effect on you"

"Oh, now you're speaking. Thought you were deaf."

"Stop it, Oliver"

"Didn't I make myself clear? I WOULDN'T STOP UNTIL I KNOW THE TRUTH!"

Without any warning, he pricked Rose's finger and a drop of blood appeared right in front of his eyes.

"What?! Nooooo!!!"

Rose was so shocked and tried to pull her hand away from Oliver's. Accidentally, her blood was wiped on Oliver's fair skin.

'Oh my god! Noo...'

Both of them stared at Oliver's hand.

"Look, nothing happened!"

Suddenly, Oliver felt an electric shock inside his body. His organs feel like being squeezed and crumpled at the same time. Blood flushed out from his mouth like a waterfall.

"AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!"

Rose watched him with horror on her face. Not wanting him to die, she ran out of her classroom looking for her twin brother.

While other students gather around Oliver not knowing what to do.

"God, what just happened?"

"Is this Rose's curse doing?"

"It's true after all that she is a blood killer"

"RRRAAAYYYY!!!"

Ray, who was in dreamland, was shocked to hear someone calling for his name like thunder. He stood up and felt dizzy.

'Thud'

Down he goes lying on the floor.

"Ray wake up!! You need to help me this time!!"

"Help you what??"

"Save Oliver!!!!"

"Huh???"

He gave her a poker face. Trying to put her words together.

"Argh seriously? Just, let's go!!"

She pulled him with all her might towards her classroom and entered trying to ignore others' glances.

Even a mile away she can hear Oliver's scream in pain.

"There, see yourself and you'll know what to do"

Ray's eyes widen to see Oliver. He took quick steps and approached Oliver. Rose behind him trying to pull herself together hoping there's still time for Ray to save him.

"Oliver, be patient. I'll try to save you."

Ray cut and let his blood dripped into Oliver's mouth.

"Argh....urgh..."

Oliver's groan became slower and soon he became silent.

'Oh gosh. C'mon it's not past 9 and 3 quarter minutes yet'

In just a few seconds, Oliver made small movements and he started to blink his eyes. Confused by what just happened.

"Ray, did you just dropped your blood into my mouth just now?"

Ray was shocked. Remembering that no one ever knew about his curse. He turned his head around, shocked to see a crowd of students in the class watching him.

"Ummm....yes..."

"Then, you are a blood killer too I guess"

Just then, the principal arrived...

'My God, the worst is yet to come.'

"I heard that someone caused chaos over here just now"

All of the students turned their heads around looking at me.

"Then, make your way to my office now!"

"Also, both of you"

He pointed his finger towards Ray and Oliver.

"Principle, please take me away from them. They're monsters. One trying to kill me and the other pretend to save me"

He pleaded while hiding behind the principal.

'What a drama king, huh'

"Dup dap dup dap"

Only their heartbeat can be heard in the principal's room waiting for their guardian to arrive.

"Ray, look I'm truly sorry for what had happened"

"No, it's okay. It's not your fault after all"

"No, I'm the one who accidentally exposed your cursed in front of others"

"Rose, who started all this? It's not you, it's him!"

Ray pointed his finger towards Oliver who is sitting on the couch in the room next door.

"Shhh!!! Keep your mouth shut will you?!"

The principal yelled.

*knock knock*

"Oh, there you are Lady Lee Amelia. Have a seat my lady"

"Thank you, sir. So, what trouble did they cause today?"

"Rose nearly killed Oliver"

"NO I'M NOT!!!"

Rose cried, refusing the blame that was being put on her.

"Shut up you unfilial child!!"

Rose immediately shut her mouth, scared of her older sister's shout.

"Sorry for the interruption. Please continue sir"

"Well, that Oliver boy was just trying to be nice with her by having a friendly conversation. But, indeed your sister hurt him and her cursed blood nearly caused his death"

'This is a plot twist!'

Rose cried in her heart.

"And what about my brother sir? What did he do wrong?"

"Nothing wrong but he saved the boy with his blood. You know about it, my lady?"

"Sorry for the problem, sir. May I bring them home for punishment?"

"Sure enough, my lady. Please do."

Lady Lee Amelia turned her head around facing the twin.

"You heard me, right?"

They nodded.

"Then, what are you waiting for? Get your bags and get in the car. NOW!!"

Soon they reached home....

"Wait at the hall. And don't ever think to RUN AWAY!"

Both of them sat in the hall waiting for their sister.

"You know what you have done, right?"

"It's not my fault, sis!"

"Then, WHO?!"

"It's Oliver"

"That boy won't be so stupid trying to harm you. The entire school know about your curse!!!"

"Yes! But..."

"No more buts! From now on, both of you are grounded!"

"What?! No!! You can't ground me but not Rachael! He did nothing wrong!!"

"Yes, he did. Now, the entire school already knows that both of you are twin monsters. Ray just exposed that he also had cursed blood, and that's a taboo."

"He was just trying to save Oliver!"

"ENOUGH!!! From now on, don't even try to step your foot on the school ground ever again!!"

Amelia leaves the hall, leaving the twin alone, self-reflection on their not-so mistake.

"Ray, I'm so sorry!!!"

Rose cried hysterically hugging her twin.

"It's okay, Rose. This is our fate"

"No, if I hadn't called you, you wouldn't face this!"

"Then, you want Oliver dead?"

"It's better for him to vanish from this world!"

"Then, you want to take all of this blame alone?"

"Yes!! Because these are my mistakes! And you are just the victim of the incident!!"

"Even though you want to take the blame by yourself, I won't let you."

"Why??"

"Because we are twins. We were made for each other and I don't want to see you suffer alone. It hurts me. All I have in this world is you, only you. Alan and Amelia are always busy managing our family business. They've got no time to spend with us, to feel and understand what had we've been through with our curses"

"Ray, I'm sorry. I'm not a good sister. I couldn't protect you instead I caused more trouble for you"

"It's okay, Rose. What we have now is ourselves. You need to love yourself from now on and rely on each other's back, alright? You will never walk alone, sis"

"Ray, thank you"

Both of them hugged each other, comforting each other that they are not alone and need to be stronger in the future.
