Docking. Land. Ocean.

Two hard knocks were heard on the door to Mizukis quarters.

"Natyr I know that you are hiding something! What really happened to the captain?"

"Eric I recommend not entering without premission."

"I'm finding out the truth!"

The door was then kicked open with Eric in the front.

The second both of Eric's legs touched the cold hard wood, they left with the clear sound of a loud crack, moments later followed by a splash at the front of the ship.

'Entering a females room like that should be deserving of a death sentance.'

A second of silence.

"*Sigh* Salon go fish him out."

"Ah. Y-Yes captain, glad to see you are doing well."

"If you don't hurry he will drown."

"R-Right away."

"Natyr how close are we to shore?"

"We should be able to reach land within the hour." Natyr awnsered with a drop of sweat bolting down her face.

'I didn't even see her move next to me.. only the aftermath...' she thought as she recollected the incident moments prior that resulted in the body of Eric flying into the ocean with 10+ broken bones. Then she returned to her desk and sat down.

'Seven attacks without even a possibility to react.. Frightening.'

What Mizuki did in that split second was teleport infront of Eric when both of his feet were on the ground.

She stomped on both feet, braking 3 toes then kicked both shins resulting in more broken bones, punched his chest twice, broken ribs and finally slapped his left hand, 2 fingers and and wrist. All broken.

'New land to discover soon. I wonder what it looks like.'

Taking a glance onto the deck, Mizuki saw Salon pulling Eric out of the water and plopping him on the deck.

"Natyr, can you heal?" Mizuki asked a sudden question.

"Ah.. A bit?"

"Go do that then. Constant use will increase skill efficiency."

With Natyr starting to speedwalk towards the nearly dead body, Mizuki glanced at Tomi who has been sitting near the cannons this entire time.

With Tomi not even glancing up, Mizuki turned her attention to the nearing land as she thought.

'So tier 3 individuals that don't specialize in agility can barely keep up with me. Maybe I should invest more AP in that although that would leave me one sided it is better than a jack, master of none.'

Closing the door to the deck with that thought, Mizuki reinforced it with a simple lightning spell and returned to her reading.

...

After finishing her book, Mizuki closed it took a breath and placed it on her desk.

'Now that I've finished it, no need to worry about theft.'

Exiting her quarters and onto the main deck, she could see Eric at the bow of the ship with a pained expression, most likely unconscious.

With Tomi nowhere to be seen and both Salon and Natyr manning the ship, Mizuki flew up to the crow's nest and took a look at the land.

In the distance was a large city, on one side of the city there was beautiful wildlife almost like a rainforest spreading East while on the other was a boundless, barren and sand filled wasteland with tall spike like stones filling in for the lack of trees that spread till the horizon far West.

The area at which they were planning to dock the ship at was most likely, well, right infront of them.

A sandy beach with multiple stalagmite like statues sticking out of the ground. And yet only a few tens of meters to the right was a beautiful plain of grasslands. It was almost like the sand was taking over the continent..

'What a strange continent. It looks like those stone spikes are vibrating with mana, almost alive.'

"I will check out the continent myself first. Keep sailing towards my location."

After Mizuki yelled this to Salon and Natyr who nodded in response, she used a good bit of her mana to teleport to the shore.

Crounching down to touch the water and not finding any draining effect on it, Mizuki stood back up and headed towards the nearest spike of stone.

Touching it and feeling a surge of mana, Mizuki reached to take a portion of it for a few experiments that were running through her mind but stopped.

...

After an hour or so of healing Eric he started to look a lot more stable. Suprisingly there was not a lot of bleeding, on the outside at least. About 2 organs were punctured but that was the worst that happened.

'Thank god for my surgery experience.'

After Salon helped me place Eric in a 'comfortable position' we headed towards the helm to take the wheel.

Although I had no idea where Tomi had gone during my healing session, Salon had informed me that he headed below deck, most likely to his room.

After about 40 or 50 minutes where in me and Salon just chatted, the captain suddenly exited her quarters and flew up to the crow's nest. Leaving her door open.

She stood staring at the nearing beach area for 2 minutes or so before telling us she would go on ahead and just disappeared.

Salon as the crazy curious kook that he is suggested looking through the captains quarters.

I told him that there was nothing of interest there and that I had looked, unwilling to tell him about the drawer with the crazy amount of locks on it.

Warning him not to try and end up like Eric or worse, Salon hesitated but went anyway.

Not wanting to see him die, I followed.

All he found was a book that wasn't there before.

I remembered seeing captain hold it when Eric tried to commit suicide earlier.

Picking up the book and flicking through it, Salon was stunned yet placed it back and told us we should go back before the captain returns.

Heading back to the helm, he started speaking to me.

"That book has extremely detailed descriptions on every single sea monster, cursed, and blessed crew that have ever sailed the wide seas, it also looks handwritten and recently at that. I believe that our captain might just be a reinc-"

Before he could finish. A giant, and I mean GIANT explosion was heard that shook the ship and the sea around the impact zone. I would have fallen overboard if Salon had not caught me.

Looking at the nearing shore that now held a giant dust cloud and burning sand, I saw a greyish figure leap out of the cloud as a fight commenced.

...

Feeling a slight change of pressure behind the stone, Mizuki quickly jumped back but was still burned by a large explosion of fire that caused a large cloud of dust to spread.

Jumping yet again to get out of the cloud, Mizuki used a simple wind spell to blow away all the dust.

"Well. Well. We have a wind element user here don't we?"

A girlish voice was heard.

A short girl with jagged and dark red sheeplike horns that almost looked like genuine demon horns protruded out from the back of her head. Long and curly bright red hair that reached her ankles and with a slightly skimpy outfit that looked like something ripped from some anime with a loli thief girl along with a dark red and golden jacket.

This was the description of the one who blew up this large part of the beach.

As Mizuki appraised the loli cosplayer infront of her, she should have realized that she herself looked like a cosplayer but I digress. Appraising the girl with her upgraded skill, her status shocked her.

'Male? Her?'

Taking another look at the 'loli' infront of her that had a smug smile on, Mizuki was lost in thought for a second.

'I can think about traps later.. for now.'

She readied herself.

'A peak tier 4.. this is bad. Even if all my stats are 5 times higher because of my titles, 'she' still has more HP and MP than me not to mention 'her' other stats.'

Tana took a step forward.

'Based on 'her' class, I can only assume that 'she' has focused on strength, intelligence and vitality as a close to medium range type. If I am lucky, I should be as fast or faster than 'her'.'

Preparing a spell, Mizuki launched a simple bolt of lightning at her opponent.

It was dodged at the last moment yet seemed like it was no big deal to 'him?'.

"Feisty~"

Taking a look around, Mizuki realized that this terrain is against her.

'A burning sandpile.'

"Don't lose focus now."

Tana struck her hand out like a martial artist taunting their enemy and a blast of fire appeared below Mizuki.

Barely able to dodge, and losing a large part of her grey hoodie to the flames, Mizuki threw the beanie she kept in her hoodie's pocket along with her hoodie on the dry burning sand.

She ripped her short black skirt off and looked towards the pillar of fire.

She cracked her knuckles and prepared to fight.
