Still holding down the trigger, Mizuki took a glance towards Wills' location.
Nodding her head as he drank the mana potion, Will nodded back and got into a throwing stance.
Using the shadows to move behind the beast as fast as he could, he threw the dagger.
The dagger went flying straight towards the targets head. Yet that same head turned towards it moments later.
When Will was making his move he prioritised speed over stealth, that let the beast notice a shift in the surrounding shadows, which made it focus on its surroundings.
The moment it turned around and looked at the thrown dagger right infront of its eye, the dagger turned to stone but not before the magic circle on it activated.
The dagger exploded and turned into a small storm of ice and snow that blinded the beast.
Taking the opportunity, Mizuki aimed and was about to let go.
But ducked back behind the tree. Now with two fingers on her right hand and a few strands of hair turned to stone.
'Good thing I saw that coming. Would have been a much larger injury.'
The moment Mizuki saw grey snowflakes fall to the ground at an irregular speed, she realized they were being turned to stone.
The beast was staring in her direction.
It has noticed the large amount of mana gathering in Mizukis weapon and is now constantly following the mass of mana with it's eyes.
Although Mizuki could not see the beast, she knew that it had a smile on its face.
Teleporting every dagger she had on hand to Will, Mizuki teleported behind the beast and shot a pre-made bullet by pulling the second trigger with her second hand.
Right after she teleported behind another tree to wait and see the effect the bullet has on it.
Whizzing through the air, the bullet created a sort of vortex of air around itself with the speed o its spin.
Due to the speed of the bullet, the beast could not turn its head and was hit in the shoulder.
The magic circle activated and a pillar of fire descended.
'I can't pull the railgun trigger if my finger is stone. I designed the gun with two hands in mind.'
Lamenting her previous decisions, Mizuki peeked out from behind the tree.
'A pillar of fire is more effective when it comes from above, it forces the target to the ground with its flames along with burning them. A pillar from the ground is easier to dodge and only burns the target. This should in theory do a f*ckton of damage.'
Yet when the pillar stopped, the beast still stood slightly charred and smoke coming from her hair like steam.
The bullet itself worked as there was a hole in her leg, burned closed, but there was a hole.
'It looks like this thing has a large amount of magic resistance but not much physical resistance.'
Will took the chance as he saw the pillar do minimal damage and dived into the shadows.
Within the next 2 seconds, nearly 30 daggers were thrown from different directions towards the beast.
Yet right before they hit, a magic circle was created above the beast and a box of stone and earth covered her, only leaving a small rectangular hole for her eyes.
The only dagger that was close enough to hit was thrown with little accuracy and only left a scratch.
When the box was complete, the magic circle of the dagger activated and another pillar of fire was created, this time inside the box.
From the outside, all that could be seen were a sadistic pair of eyes that held a hint of fury in them.
The box started rotating as it started to move towards the mass of mana around Mizuki.
The tree she was standing behind turned to stone as spears of rock came from the ground and destroyed it, exposing Mizuki completely.
Grinding her teeth, Mizuki teleported away as fast as she could.
Appearing behind a tree far to the right, she heard the box rotate and more magic circles being created on the ground.
Realizing that a tooth of hers was turned to stone along with a part of her mouth, Mizuki understood that the beast wanted to toy with her.
'The box has enough room so I could teleport inside and land the hit from behind.. but that would be more dangerous if the beast is wary. After all it has seen me teleport.' Mizuki thought.
'I can't shoot my gun anyway.'
'The best I can do is distract her until I come up with a plan.'
Teleporting behind another tree, Mizuki used Time magic to slow the box.
Hearing the beast hit its head and cry oit in pain (a small yelp). Mizuki teleported to multiple locations while breaking mana potions around the locations.
'This should buy some time.'
Mizuki teleported around until she found Wills location.
"hey. be quiet, it might hear us."
"what's the plan?"
"don't have one, give me time."
"got it."
Mizuki sat down as she thought.
Trees breaking around her, she analized her memories to find any kind of weakness.
A spear was shot haphhazardly right next to them.
The tree behind her turned to stone, and spears of earth were shot.
Will used his Time magic debuffs to slow them down, giving Mizuki a few more seconds.
The beast noticed the speed of her magic, and casted more.
Will slowed them.
It casted more.
They were slowed down.
Will was running out of mana.
More spears.
He was out, but right after a spears tip penetrated the stone tree, Mizuki spoke.
"I got it."
Mizuki told Will to get ready and teleported him behind a tree that was yet to be destroyed and had no mana liquid near it.
Letting herself get caught in the blast, Mizuki sat there in the now sharp stone grass as her body was slowly turning to stone.
Looking at the box before her, she could see a pair of extremely sadistic eyes, taking pleasure in this.
Aiming her gun at it, the smile behind the box widened as the mana in the gun increased.
Pouring a large amount of her remaining mana in her gun, only leaving enough for 4 more teleports, Mizuki aimed her gun.
And teleported it away.
She now had enough mana for 2 more teleports.
Why two?
Because Mizuki didn't only teleport her gun.
The face inside the box had furrowed eyebrows as it did not notice a new presence in her box, melding with the shadows.
A lock of white hair and eyes glowed in the box behind her as a trigger was pulled.
Quickly noticing the change in mana, the beast turned around but the moment it's eyes met with the mass of mana, they burned to ash at the sheer amount of power and mana that was condensed into the beam.
The body fell down dead, still in the coffin it made for itself, headless.
The coffin now had a hole and the beam past over Mizukis head as she laid down her head.
Victory...
