'AAHHH!'
Mitsuna yelled in her mind as she was spun around by her mother. She would have yelled out loud but for some reason, her throat ached every time she has tried to speak.
"Oi. Be careful or you might just kill her."
"I won't!"
'Why does my mother sound like a child that just got a new toy?!'
"Well get going then. I want to sleep." the man said with a yawn.
"Cya Oldy!"
Aryamis held Mitsuna in a way where she could rest her head on her shoulder and started leaving.
"Cya."
Mitsuna, who finally calmed down, looked back towards the man, waved her tiny hand and mouthed the word Oldy.
'I need to get this speaking thing under control soon. I feel like my throat is broken.'
While Mitsuna thought that, Oldy was sitting there shocked.
'They got themselves a little genius. Already trying to talk despite being a newborn.'
Oldy waved back as the door closed, he then went back to sleep.
...
On the way out, Mitsuna saw how everyone was still bowing. A few new faces had actually joined.
Mitsuna then pulled the same thing she did back upstairs and casually waved when her mother walked past.
Some of the people there caught the small gesture, some didn't.
Walking down the street with people immediately bowing down, Mitsuna rested her head on her mother's shoulder and enjoyed the ride.
But unlike what Mitsuna had in mind, they didn't return to the castle but instead started walking around the city.
Aryamis showed her the commercial district, the shops filled with various items, a few guilds a dock and the ocean.
They went from location to location before Mitsuna could even take it all in.
She did however try to memorize the general location just in case.
After about 10 or so minutes, they finally returned to the castle gates and went back in only to be greeted by the same man who was shot out of the window.
'Oh, he survived? He survived!?'
"Where did you run off to?!"
'Well, at least that doesn't make my mother a murderer. But who is he?'
"I went to get my daughter appraised."
"Without me??!"
"Yes."
The man pouted.
Mitsuna looked at her mother's face and could tell she was trying to hold back her laughter.
'Oh. It's a bit. Is this perhaps my father? That would explain a thing or two.'
"Well, I have good news!"
"And?"
"Let's go inside. It's troublesome to act like this in front of the knights now isn't it?"
"Fine... you better tell me her status then."
"It's fine, It's fine."
Walking inside the castle the man and mother started to share some small talk.
"You were out longer than I anticipated."
"I did take Mitsuna on a quick tour of the city."
"So you already named her huh. Could have told me."
"I just did."
"And 'Mitsuna'? Where did that name come from?"
"Oh. I took some inspiration from that one 'legendary' girl who cleared that Sanctuary a while back."
"Her? Really?"
"Oh shush. I know you wanted to have a bout with her."
"Well yeah, but haven't you met hundreds of other strong women?"
"Well, that girl stood out. We still have yet to find out how she got that Divinity."
"Well, no one really knows that."
"Besides. Just like her, I think that Mitsuna here will make waves just as big as her in this world. If not bigger."
"Is her status that good?"
"Compared to others she has a clear head start. Now she just needs to keep it."
"Come on tell mee."
"I don't really need to."
"Eh."
"She can show you herself."
"Eh..."
"She has that one rare phoenix bloodline skill, besides that she also has a special one that I haven't heard of before."
"Eeehhh..."
"Wow what a laid back reaction."
"Well... she was born a week ago."
"Oh, I know! This is the perfect time to give you some father-daughter time!"
"She can't speak though."
"She'll manage."
Gently handing over Mitsuna to her father, Aryamis took her leave.
"Have fun~!"
"*Sigh* what a woman."
With her father looking down at her, Mitsuna felt embarrassed and tilted her head to the side.
"Let's get going then."
Walking for a bit, they reached the room that was broken into and Mitsuna's father thrown out of.
Her father then placed her on the bed and sat down.
"So lass. Can you understand me?"
Turning around and trying to get a better look, Mitsuna made eye contact with her father and tilted her head.
'Isn't this too much for a newborn? And why does he sit down like we are going to discuss business?'
Her father on the other hand had a different view of this.
'So naturally, she... she tilted her head the in the perfect angle to look absolutely defenceless and amazingly cute at the same time!'
Looking closely at his daughter, Midithyr thought.
'I'm sorry Ary. It seems our second child will definitely seduce countless boys without even knowing it... god I don't want to deal with the letters.'
'What a weird man.' Mitsuna thought in contrast.
She then slightly nodded her head to signal she understood.
'Oh great. At least she can understand me...
wait what. Wasn't she born a week ago and completely asleep at that time? Can she learn in her sleep or something?'
"W- Well can I take a look at your status?"
Receiving a nod in reply, Midithyr had a beaming smile as his ears wiggled.
Mitsuna then noticed the long fantasy elf-like ears that came from the sides of her father's head.
'I wonder if I have similar ears.'
Pushing that thought to the back of her mind, for now, Mitsuna started wondering.
'How do I show my status to people?'
Racking her head, the only thing that came to her was speaking words in her head until something popped up.
'Status. System. Self. Inspect. Appraise. Status Screen.'
And finally, when she recited Status Screen, her stats popped up in front of her.
'Now how do I show this to others?'
