Court? Nah, Bar.

As Mitsuna slept, she was suddenly awoken by someone knocking on her door.

Waking up, she put on her black shirt and went to the door.

Slightly opening it, she peaked her head out from between the door frame.

"Yes?"

She asked with a yawn.

The knight on the other side was stunned seeing the girl that she had heard so much about act like a cute and lazy school girl.

"Hello, citizen. I have been sent here by the knight order so that we may find out if you wish to press charges against the man that had illegally trespassed inside your occupied room."

'What? That's a thing? I can press charges against people in this world?'

"Nah. I'm good."

'I don't want to get into any legal sh*t. I'll just find the guy sometime soon and beat him till his face turns inside out.'

"Understood. I will relay that you do not wish to press charges. I assure you that the individual responsible will at least ask for forgiveness instead."

"Sure, thank you. Have a good day Mrs Knight."

Mitsuna said as she gave a small salute.

The knight smiled at this.

"To you as well citizen."

And walked off with a light smile.

Closing the door and heading back to bed, Mitsuna enjoyed her rest.

...

Hours later...

Mitsuna's resting time was disturbed by none other than herself.

Rolling to the side, Mitsuna had a single thought.

'Hungry.'

Sitting up, she immediately laid back down and covered herself with her blanket as the room itself was much colder compared to under the blanket.

'Mmmm.'

Mitsuna forced her eyes shut and tried to sleep yet again, but was awoken by the feeling of a rumbling stomach.

'Hungry. But cold. Tired....'

Grabbing her clothes from next to the bed, Mitsuna put them on while hiding from the uncomfortable cold under her blanket.

After finishing up, she waited as she was starting to drift off again but the alarm of her stomach would not stop ringing.

Standing up from her bed, she left the inn while yawning all the way.

On the street, she could see the vibrant shining moon in the sky and how every surrounding building was pitch-black.

The entire city seemed to be asleep except for a certain building.

The guild was still lit.

Remembering how people were drinking alcohol in there when she was doing her night-time job run, Mitsuna concluded that the place should also sell food.

Walking toward, then entering the building, Mitsuna became the centre of attention at an alarming speed as the joyful atmosphere slightly quieted down.

Mitsuna walked to the receptionist and asked if they have any food here while yawning.

Receiving a nod, she was shown towards a bar counter right next to the request boards.

'How haven't I seen that before?'

Walking to the bar, Mitsuna talked to the worker managing it and just ordered whatever they recommended without a second thought.

Walking over to a corner table, Mitsuna sat down, rested her head on the wooden table and waited for her food.

...

"That's her. I think."

"That's her? Really? You sure?"

"What do you guys mean? *Hic* that's just a little missy... Wait... *Hic*... What were we talkin bout?"

"The girl there you drunk. I hear she sent the sword saint to the hospital."

"How do you even know it's her?"

"Well, the appearance and high-end clothing match the description. I've never seen that pattern on her sleeve before though."

"Might be nobility."

"Doubt it."

"Wait. Didn't you say yesterday that the one who did it got crippled and paralyzed from the waist down?"

"Yeah. Yeah. She ws walkin all fine. Dandy even. *Hic*"

"I doubt there's anyone with the exact same looks around. That clothing looks really expensive and one of a kind. Don't think it got stolen either."

"Doesn't explain the paralysis."

"Well since her clothes look expensive, a strong potion or personal priest wouldn't be off the table."

"We don't have any great priests, all of them are working to heal the sword saint aren't they? Even all the personal priests got called. If the sword saint dies it would be a massive loss in military power."

"Well, I don't know. Maybe she's immortal."

"Bahh. *Hic* I don't believe it. Give me a drink bartender."

The bartender filled a glass and slid it down the bar table towards the drunk man.

The glass slid straight under his nose and crashed onto the floor.

It took a while for the man to notice, but when he did.

"My drink! Bartender! You sneaky b*stard!"

...

'What a lively place.'

Yawning to herself, Mitsuna looked out the window.

'I sure am a hot topic right now though. Don't people know that they should mind their own business and not listen to rumours?'

After a minute, her food arrived at the table.

A salad with shredded cheese and meat, a portion of baby back ribs from a chicken-pig hybrid animal and a glass of alcohol.

'Guess I should be old enough to have a drink.'

"How much?"

"I'd say it's on the house. That goblin request you completed really helped out the guild, a lot of newbies were dying near there."

"Well, I'll take you up on that. When you ever need goblin extermination just call: someone else though.

A good Fire mage should be able to handle it."

"Fire? But miss, goblins are strong against fire, are they not?"

"Eh?"

"Fire. Goblins are generally known to be resistant to Fire.

There have been reports of goblins being burnt alive but still moving to attack. There have also been reports of goblins wielding torches and Fire magic as well. That is why, generally, Ice magic is used since ice completely stops them."

"I think your info is wrong buddy. Humans can use weapons and magic both pretty effectively but you don't see humans being resistant to Fire magic or a knife in the pancreas.

The reason goblins burn for long is the flammable fat in their bodies, even their sweat can be flammable if you force them to sweat enough. That same fat is also the reason they can survive rather well in cold environments.

Coming to the Ice magic conspiracy, it doesn't really hold up. Freezing something completely stops it just as well as burning something kills it. If you completely freeze a phoenix, it will stop just as well as a goblin.

I mean, watching a man writhe while being burned alive doesn't really convince someone that they're resistant to Fire, does it?"

Mitsuna pointed out as her voice sounded slightly prideful and playful.

'Finally, I put the things I learned at that godforsaken goblin cave to use. I bet I looked real smart then didn't I. Hehe.

Thank goodness I cut those burning goblins into ribbons back then.'

Mitsuna, who was strangely proud of knowing how goblins react to being burned alive, took another bite of her salad.

'The sauce they use here is really good. It's kinda like a classic Ceasar salad.'

The guild employee stood there with a surprised face and slightly wide eyes.

"Well, I thank you for the talk. Have a nice meal."

"Thanks."

The guild employee then left to the back of the guild building.

After a while, the employee had yet to return and Mitsuna was finished with her meal.

'The drink was pretty good.'

Looking around and seeing every other patron either dead drunk or asleep, Mitsuna felt an urge.

'Mmmm. Bad habits.'

Mitsuna walked behind the bar and took 3 bottles of 'something'. She then returned to her inn room like nothing had happened.

Sitting on her bed, she opened a bottle and started sipping it.

'Alcohol is pretty tasty~'

She continued like this with that same bottle until sunrise when her inner clock was supposed to wake her up.

It was now the day of the Sword Saint Festival.
