Fares looked at the mummified dogs, coming through the doorway all the way across the room towards him, even stepping over their comrades' bodies on the ground, with dread drawn all over his face.
However, he did not dwell on it for long before getting back to his senses. He did not have enough energy to break through another room the same way he did this one. And definitely not enough to defend himself against those tides of mummified dogs.
During his desperation, the world around Fares suddenly froze. No, the world around him became infinitesimally slower, or more like his soul became much much faster. Normally, since the soul was already in the 4th dimension according to his research, it should be able to act a lot faster than the physical body, but humans are not able to tap into these powers normally.
