Making Weapons

Seeing the entire situation, Renaldo got the reaction that he wanted, he planted some seeds of doubt between the mob which will surely disrupt their unity, so he acted like he didn't see that entire rodeo and frantically asked them;

"How was my work? Is it good? I know it's good right?! It was praised by my grandfather as a really great piece of invention to the point that we came to this situation, t-that thing, i-t's plausible right? Asked Renaldo in an unsure and slightly panicked tone as to fan the flames of doubt and curiosity on those people.

The gunsmiths on the other hand grew impatient about the lack of information on their side, Li Zheng monopolized the blueprint for himself he said that;

"This was rubbish to be honest, who can believe a bolt-action rifle that could work like how the kid proposes?! And don't joke about the ammo capacity! Even the M93s which we consider as the best bolt-action rifle only has a few ammo! And then you'll tell is that you're even better than Mauser in rifle making? Don't make me laugh brat!" Li Zheng said, which made sense and gave other people on that group assurance but the spies of other organizations think otherwise, they're spies and they're all smart people they won't believe it without seeing it with their own eyes.

The situation prompted a reaction from a spy of a rival organization of Li Zheng's, his name is Kim Dong Ha, a korean spy of a korean merchant's guild. His mission here was just to observe yet he's given something so juicy that can allow him to promote himself in a higher position and finally work on a safer environment compared to being behind enemy lines like this.

He's not a fool, and he's not going to be duped by this person told by his superiors to be wary about, plus, whatever that blueprint Li Zheng is hiding, it's definitely important to earn the curiosity of a man such as Li Zheng.

He acted based on his intuition and eyed the other spies, with just looks in their eyes, they've created a temporary alliance that might break anytime but is certainly enough to handle a single Li Zheng, they then tackled Li Zheng simultaneously, it happened so fast that the man doesn't have enough time to react.

Renaldo was smiling menacingly while watching the situation beneath him, like a roman emperor watching a gladiator fight in a museum, he was happy that it happened but he needs to deescalate the situation and proceed another phase of his plans.

The spies are successful at mobbing Li Zheng but they are all now fighting among themselves to monopolize the blueprint, Kim go it in the end but something happened after his victory.

Renaldo saw that the situation is coming to its conclusion so he released more copies of the blueprint, to level up the playing field to those truly disgruntled gunsmiths, he also wants them to know why the gunsmiths(spies) are suddenly fighting amongst themselves, because it is crucial to not just plant a seed of doubt between the spies but also create a scenario wherein the normal gunsmiths and the spies create a divide between themselves as to let them question the other side's true motives.

This divide will create an opportunity for Renaldo and if his plans fails, then he'd still have a backup that requires a bit of that "ultra-violence" 😉

As the blue prints rain upon the gunsmiths, they picked them up one by one and they were enlightened by what they saw, they scrutinized the blueprints and connected the dots that led to the other parties to fight among themselves, they also deemed the other party as people they can't trust, this created a rift between these people despite them not being aware of the other party's true identity.

This gave Renaldo an opportunity so he continued his act of being a naive brat saying;

"P-please don't resort to violence! I still have more here if it's not enough for you! T-that is also just the first part of m-my invention!" Renaldo cringed in his mind as this was something he is very reluctant to do but is crucial for his plans.

Li Zheng was stopped being ganged up on others, he was disappointed that he wasn't able to monopolize the blueprints but when the child spoke, it gave him an idea that will surely give him an upperhand, he then talked with the child to try to find a way to get the whole blueprint.

Li Zheng acted remorseful, like how a person in the wrong would be acting when they realized their mistakes and said; "Young Master, I'm really sorry for my past actions! I had eyes but I didn't see Mt. Tai!" Said Li Zheng in the most remorseful tone.

Renaldo laughed in his mind as he now has someome who is also playing an act like him he replied "I-I accept your apology but please can you help me convince the others to stay? I really don't want to fail the expectations of my grandfather!" Renaldo said, clear panic in his tone and voice, with some signs of distress.

Looking at the child's distress, the gunsmiths thought of an idea, they may be distrustful between themselves now but cooperation is still possible, they thought of duping this kid of the whole blueprint of this wonderful gun, so all of them agreed and with Renaldo and came under his services once again.

Seeing this, Renaldo thoughts were positive, he was laughing in his mind! He successfully duped these motherfuckers! He was ecstatic of his success but he didn't let it show to his face, as he still could fail in this if it was not conducted formally, he then accepted the gunsmiths back into the fold

Seeing the naive child, the gunsmiths were also happy, especially Li Zheng, this is going to be their own pot of gold they thought, little did they know that their freedom aren't theirs anymore.

Renaldo wrapped up the formalities at once and now that they're back to being his underlings formally, he acted like normal once again, he went outside his room and went to one of the merceneries and borrowed his sidearm, a mauser c96, he proceeded to the isolated room of the gunsmiths and shot a few of them to vent his anger, this earned the shock and ire of the gunsmiths but he doesn't give a single fuck about these people, they're scums and they deserved to die.

Before the gunsmiths could react though, he activated the buff to repel their reactions and neutralize the situation, they even cheered for their master but this isn't the reaction that Renaldo wanted, he wants them to suffer so he confiscated their weapons and tied them one by one and deactivated the buff and then tortured each and everyone of them for an hour just to vent his anger, he reactivated the buff and went outside with his new "people".

When they get back to the meeting room, the other gunsmiths were shocked by the sudden change of heart of their colleagues but they can't help but notice the missing people, Renaldo told them that they were people who really wants to go so he let them be, this calmed some people down but some are also still skeptical about what happened. Renaldo diverted their attention though by starting the meeting and letting their minds wander off and focus on the topic. He ordered some of the gunsmiths to distribute the first parts of the three blueprints that he made, they contained the blueprints for the Enfield No.4, the MG42, and the Bazooka Launcher and the gunsmiths were fascinated.

The meeting started and the gunsmiths can't take their eyes off of Renaldo, he was telling them about the direction this project was going, and they were glued to him, they thought that he was a genius of sorts, they were really in love with his knowledge but for Renaldo, that wasn't enough, he doesn't trust them, not one bit as he has experienced enough betrayal in his past life to the point that he can never trust those people outside of his family no, he asked for the loyalty buff from the overseer because of his trust issues, so until he converts them to his cause, he won't give them everything he knows.

At the tail end of the meeting, when all was said and done, Renaldo then asked the most important question, this will decide their fates, if they went under him, they will live, but if they don't they will die.

As expected though, all of them agreed to serve him as the pay is great, one of the best even, couple that with a boss that is as knowledgeable as Renaldo, they are certainly in for this so Renaldo proceeded on using the loyalty buff and he gave them the last parts of the blueprints and ordered them to make a lot of these guns everyday for a long time. Of course he knows that they won't betray him but to be on the safe side, in case that one of them gets captured, he separated them into two groups based on their groups earlier, the pros and the antis, the pros are responsible for making the first part of the blueprint, they were also responsible for the weapons testing of the finished products while the antis were responsible for the second part and the maintenance of them. Both teams are responsible for the ammunition though, as it was the least confidential part of the project.

Renaldo also called for a private meeting with Armando and Li Zheng, he assigned them on a special project, it is a project to make his own weapon, a side arm called Desert Eagle with a 7 round magazine of 50. Cal bullets and a ballistic vest that he can wear inside his clothes to protect himself from bullets that wants to kill him. They spent a long time in the room. Night came and Renaldo has taught them everything he knew about making the gun, but the vest will need a lot more stuff and it is still not possible to make in the current time, so they improvised on an older type of vest that serves some of its purpose but is still vulnerable to high caliber guns and Renaldo settled for it.

Since it's now evening, Renaldo left them to their own devices, he will come back here to see their progress a few years from now, of course his animals will also send him daily reports but for now, he needs to come back home and focus on remembering some of his memories regarding construction.
