chapter2:No time to breathe
After several blinks,I finally was able to recognize where I was.The syringe in me and the medicine drip tube made it ever more clear.I was at the hospital.I could barely move my lower body that is from my waist to my toes.Those worthless human beings left me bedridden.they must pay for this.I assured myself.The door opened and the doctor came in.He was not recognizable due to his mask but after adjusting it,a scream escaped my mouth.Was me going to prison not enough?Now my late husbands best friend was working here as the doctor.Was he here to revenge me or do what because I had no doubt he would poison me if he knew who I was.
Sometimes change is not bad.Thanks to my emaciated and frail body he didn't recognize me.My heart thumbed as he moved closer crossing the distance between us.I had to breathe normal if I wanted to get out soon.I tried to act casual but the thought of him killing me left me unease.I tried to push it at the back of my mind but it couldn't stop.After scanning my heart beat,he looked at me keenly and carefully.Scanning every last body part of mine that was visible.I tightened my grip on the sheets just in case he figured out.He smiled and I knew it was the end.I closed my eyes expecting to hear the worst but he said I'll get better,I just needed to calm down and relax.
Just after I took a deep breath he turned around to me and looked at me again."Have we met before?You look familiar."He asked giving a questioning look.My throat ran dry and my neck stiffened.I could neither talk nor nod or deny.My past won't leave me even after being in jail.I had to leave before he knew me because Shef was bad news.He would strangle me and throw my corpse in the desert if he had to.All I needed to do was heal and think of a plan soon or I'll be six feet under later.Mylife just skipped from bad to worst with this man around.
I now needed to be careful,play my cards wisely or I'll end up dead on the ground.I was sentenced to 6years in jail and it was hardly a year not even half a year."What should I do now"I questioned myself.Pacing back n forth inside my brain looking for a way out until I saw the window and uniform and that is when it all came to place.Genius!
