Chapter 13: Done right

This is suffocating.

I know they hate Satiana but this is beyond all forms of disgust.

I know far too well that my position in this house is the lowest of low; they at least treat servants with aloofness - Can't they just ignore me???

I deliberately avoided all kind of contact with the Evansons; skipping meals and eating alone, staying in my bed chamber almost all day and going out a lot were all attempts to keep peace in this house.

I knew that if I attend a meal, like now for instance, it's bound to end up ugly.

I am not the type that would stand back and let people look down on me, I am not like the original Satiana.

I put down my fork in a loud noise giving aunt Caitlin something to comment on

The fork in my hand twisted as I tried to calm my nerves

Said Vincent scoffing off.

The duke remained silent; the kind of silence more threatening than words... especially when he radiates that bone chilling Frost Aura...

He let out a sigh, like the mere existence of mine was a headache to him he asked.

I went straight to the point

Disbelief looked on his face he addressed the butter standing by the wall next to the other servants.

The butter remained quiet so I forced more into it

I said after a sip of my drink That was me purposely limiting my potential in front of them, of course I can read minds at will unlike what I said; I just need to focus and they are open books.

The look of terror on some faces, for instance Vincent and the Twin cousins and Aunt Caitlin as well as some servants was that of people looking at a freak...a monster.

I joked about it I gave him a nasty grin and he glared at me

Said the duke in his usual cold voice and bored tone.

He gave me a look, the kind of assimilating someone with a stare

The duke stood up announcing the end of dinner. Everyone stood up as a sign of respect and so did I.

The duke walked pass my shoulder with heavy steps, excluding his aura as if to warn me to try and pry into his head...

Of course I didn't try. I am crazy but not that crazy to mess with a sword master, THE duke of Evansons and MASTER of the Winter.

At least not yet...

~ Two more days.

It's weekend! Not that I give a shit anymore since I am not working nor am I studying in a school anymore.

Trudy is ruthless; weekends don't exist in her "Envoy of the Abyss witch formation curriculum" program...

If I remember the original story of "Tales of Regulus", The original story didn't even begin yet!

My job in this world is to fight this world's impending doom, to support rather than play the role of Antagonist Satiana like the original story.

What is waiting on us in this stupid world is the rise of an ancient evil like no other.

In the visions the Abyss has shown me, the Ancient Evil would walk on Regulus and drain it from life till the last drop.

The Saint and her Hero/Avatar are supposed to fight the evil, but according to what Cassandra The oracle has shown me...They are not enough.

I said

Trudy tried to stop me

The emotion practice was too much, to discreetly use witchcraft inside the Evanson house is taking a toll on my body and mind!

I said dreamily dressing up for an outing.

I picked up my bag and threw a cloak over me before walking down the stairs, Trudy following behind.

I was about to leave when "she" called my name it was my Aunt accompanied by her daughters and a group of people...

I shifted my gaze to Trudy and asked

Damn it! She being serious?!

I wiped the expression off my face and smiled. I removed the hood off my head and the glamour spell that changed my appearance. I waved my hair and then

I gave them a smile and then fast walked away before they could stop me or ask more questions.

asked Trudy

I smirked at her and answered honestly

~Downtown, "Giselle Montes" salon~

As soon as we got in, I noticed the presence of two Evansons Frost knights in their fancy ice blue uniform.

Trudy and I are under glamour spells; our apparence is altered so I am not afraid of being caught however...I couldn't help but feel anxious.

That's when we saw viscountess Giselle coming out of the kitchen in tears...

I was suddenly hit by the situation and I started looking around

I walked closer to madam Giselle who's teary eyes met mine

The poor lady started crying and collapsed on her knees.

I quickly helped her up and brought her inside, Trudy and the knights followed us in.

Madam Giselle then told us what happened.

She sent Juliette for an errand two days ago and she never came back again...

Madam threw herself at the knights and grabbed them by the collar with tight grip and cried she shook the knights at arms length before collapsing again on her knees praying for the goddess of the Sun Solaria to save her daughter...

After calming her down we left the shop.

Said Trudy

I let out a sigh

I turned my back and we went straight back to the castle.

Once inside my room, I kicked Trudy out and told her to leave me alone before shutting the door.

Once the cover of darkness fell, I opened the window and threw a cloak on me.
