chapter 30: Travis' birthday

THIRD PERSONS' POINT OF VIEW

"Thank you for deciding to celebrate my birthday at my house, Juliet and Julia." Travis said as all of them walked to Travis' house.

"You are very welcome Travis, thank you for inviting us. I feel very excited since we will be meeting your whole family." Julia chuckled then Juliet smiled.

"Oh look, it's Romeo!" Travis said, right after he turned at his back.

"Romeo! Right here!" Travis shouted as Romeo looked at them then he walked across the street.

"Hi Travis!" Romeo greeted as he smiled then he flinched as he saw Julia.

"Oh, good morning Mrs. Fitzroy and Juliet. It's nice seeing you again." Romeo greeted as Julia looked over at Juliet then Juliet sighed.

"Likewise." Julia said as she raised her eyebrows.

"Oh, by the way, I am having a celebration with my family and Juliet's at my house for my birthday. Would you like to come?" Travis asked.

"I would love to, but I'm sort of nervous since your parents know me as Lauren's ex boyfriend." Romeo replied then he sighed.

"Well I see why Lauren broke up with you." Julia mumbled as she scoffed then Juliet glared at her.

"Mom!" Juliet whispered.

"Don't worry, I will just tell them that I invited you since you are my bestfriend and your parents are still far away." Travis said.

"Thank you Travis, it means a lot to me." Romeo chuckled then Travis smiled.

"Alright, let's come inside already." Travis said as they walked to their front door.

Travis pressed the doorbell then a few seconds later, Lauren opened the door with a smile.

"Good morning! You must be Juliet's mother, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Fitzroy." Lauren greeted as she smiled.

"I see that Juliet isn't wrong when she said you are this respectful and kind." Julia chuckled as she looked over Juliet.

"Oh, why thank you Mrs. Fitzroy." Lauren chuckled as she smiled then Julia smiled back and went inside.

"Hello Juliet! It's great seeing you again, with an unexpected guest." Lauren said.

"O-Oh-" Juliet stuttered as he looked at Romeo and Travis then Travis cutted her off.

"Actually Laury, I was the one who invited Romeo." Travis said as he reached out for Juliet's hand.

"I see. Come on, my mother is waiting for you." Lauren replied as she cleared her throat then she grabbed Juliet's arm and walked together to their dining table.

"I'm sorry about that Romeo." Travis apologized as he sighed and turned at Romeo.

"It's nothing Travis, besides I'm here to celebrate your birthday anyway." Romeo chuckled then Travis smiled and they followed Juliet and Lauren to the dining table.

"You must be Travis' girlfriend. My name is Emelie Johnson, I am so happy to have you here with your mother." Emelie greeted as she chuckled.

"My name is Juliet, thank you for having us here to celebrate Travis' birthday with you and the rest of your family." Juliet chuckled.

"It's no problem my dear, you and my good friend Julia here, are really good friends since I opened my bakery." Emelie said as she smiled and looked over Julia then Juliet and Julia laughed.

"I heard some laughters, are they already he-" Michael said as he brings a big bowl of pie from the oven then he cutted his sentence.

"Julia! Wh-What are you doing here?" Michael asked as he stuttered and puts down the bowl onto the table while Juliet, Travis and Lauren did a confused face.

"Oh sweetie, she is Juliet's mother to begin with." Emelie chuckled as Julia frowned.

"Y-You two know each other, Mom?" Juliet asked as she pointed at Michael.

"O-Of course, we were classmates back in college along with your aunt, Juliet." Julia nervously said as she chuckled then Juliet slowly nodded.

"Y-Yes, she's right. You know, good old days." Michael nervously chuckled back as Travis gave him a glare and a confused face.

A few minutes later, all of them finds their seats while Michael and Emelie serve the foods along with Julia's help. The rest of them had an awkward silence at first, especially when all of them are gathered with their parents near them. But once they started eating, they had a little talk along with their parents. All of them discussed about Travis life, their school, his relationship with Juliet, how did they became friends with Lauren and Romeo and such more.

After an hour later, they finished eating then they started helping as a sign of respect. Later, Juliet noticed that Travis is in their living room, all alone so she walked towards him and sat beside him.

"Is everything okay, Travy?" Juliet asked as she pouted and looked at Travis.

"Don't worry I'm okay, it's just that I never experienced this kind of celebration in my entire existence, you know. I feel like I am special and loved to each and one of you, I don't know I'm just used to this." Travis replied as he chuckled and looked over at Juliet.

"Well I'm glad you experienced this celebration because you deserve it Travy, and I am happy to be here in your 19th birthday." Juliet chuckled.

"Speaking of 19th birthday, I got you a little present. I know it is not much, but I want you to have this." Juliet said as she grabbed a paper from her pocket.

"I am not a very good artist, but I sort of used my art skills when I was a little kid." Juliet chuckled as Travis reached out for the paper with a smile.

"You never told me you are such an excellent artist, my Juliet." Travis chuckled as he admired Juliet's drawing.

"Seriously, I just did a few sketches with what's on my mind and trust me that is sort of messy especially its background." Juliet chuckled as Travis flipped the paper over.

As Juliet talks, Travis noticed a note from behind the paper. It says 'So, I heard today is your birthday Travis Johnson, don't worry I havE a little surprise for you too. Go to your gardeN once your visitors leave the house, trust me it won'T hurt you. -Anonymous' Travis didn't listen to Juliet at all as his attention is on the note then he flipped the paper back to the front.

"Travy? Travis, are you listening?" Juliet asked as she snapped her fingers, right infront of Travis' eyes then he zoned out and looked at Juliet.

"D-Did you wrote this, Juliet?" Travis asked then Juliet did a confused face as Travis flipped the paper again and Juliet looked closer then she scoffed.

"What do you mean? Of course I write this one, these are the lines from my favorite play of William Shakespeare." Juliet said as she chuckled.

Travis looked back at the back part then he saw the lines that are really from the play, Romeo and Juliet. He did a confused face and started getting very nervous, as Juliet looked at him worried.

"Travis, are you okay? You seem nervous." Juliet worriedly said as she put her hand on his back to calm him down.

"I-I'm alright, th-thank you for the gift, M'lady. I really appreciate it." Travis nervously said then he kissed Juliet's cheek and he released as Juliet chuckled.

"I see two love birds across the room, I heard their names were Travis and Juliet." Lauren scoffed as she and Romeo walked towards them then Juliet chuckled again.

"Will you and your Mom stay here for a bit?" Lauren asked Juliet then Juliet looked around and saw her Mom talking to Emelie and Michael.

"Perhaps we will." Juliet replied then Lauren exclaimed.
