chapter 41: his evil side

ROMEO'S POINT OF VIEW

"I hope after the six months of getting imprisoned, I will already be given the prize that I deserved, Maria." Travis whispered to Maria as I glared at them.

"Oh of course you would Travis, just have a little patience with us, we promise you won't let you down ever again." Maria whispered back to Travis as they evilly smirked.

This isn't Travis, I know it isn't. He doesn't act this way especially in his evil side, honestly he might be twice as worse for this new evil side of his. But the sad part of everything that happened today, is that I had to leave my friends, for good, especially the love of my life, Juliet. I feel so stupid to just realize everything, besides I deserve it anyway.

"Rodolfo Greene, its been a long time since we met face to face. How was your life, you know, right before the accident?" Maria asked as she walked towards me.

"The accident, w-well I must say my life has been pretty good until you decided to trick Travis into thinking he is going to a military school, but he ended up here in this dungeon  of yours." I said in anger as I glared at her.

"I'm sorry but as far as I can remember, I didn't raised you to be like this." Maria said as she glared back at me and Travis walked towards us.

"Its because you weren't the one who raised me since the past decade Maria, but honestly, I am glad that I didn't continue to stay in this household. Because as far as I can remember, you were all evil and dangerous towards so many people." I said in anger.

"Regret what you wished for, Rodolfo. Sooner, you would be grateful that you were able to be in this team." Maria said as she evilly smirked.

"I never said I am now part in this team Maria, I just said that pick me instead and not blame the others. Whatever your plan is I would never be apart of your team, but to be part of your plan only." I said then Maria smirked.

"Alright, I will agree with your idea, so here is what you asked for." Maria said then she rolled her hands and a dark magic appeared with a paper.

"Here is my plan for you, Rodolfo. It can be easily as long as you sign this paper." She said as the paper flew towards me.

"Y-You want my Magicia jewelry and for our family to be together, again?" I asked as I frowned.

"Exactly." She said as she nodded.

"Not because I want to but, what about the pounds of blood?" I asked in confusion as she started panicking and Travis look confused too.

"U-Uhh, we already worked for that part, don't need to worry about it." She nervously said as I glared at her.

"Another condition since you asked for two things." I said then she groaned.

"Just say it." She said as she rolled her eyes.

"You must promise me that you will never put any of my friends in harm, including Travis." I said as I looked at Travis.

"Is this a way for me to forgive you, Romeo? Because guess what, I am not falling for this." Travis said as he scoffed.

"It isn't Travis, trust me." I said then he glared at me.

"So, what do you say Maria?" I asked as I looked at Maria.

"I promise." Maria said then I grabbed a pen and signed my signature with it.

"Before you atleast expected, my Rodolfo." Maria mumbled.

I sighed, right before I removed my Magicia bracelet. I know it feels wrong, but I need to sacrifice for my friends especially Juliet. I don't want any of them to be in harm because of the past, I needed to pursue this. I removed my Magicia bracelet as I closed my eyes then Maria reached out for her hand and I gave her the bracelet as she and Travis smirked.

"Oh I forgot to mention, Travis hand me your Magicia as well." Maria said as she turned at Travis.

"Sure thing, Maria." Travis said then he removed his bracelet as I looked at him with my worried face.

"Perfect." Maria said as she evilly smirked.

"By the power in me, I demand these two Magicias would combined." Maria recited the spell as I looked down then bracelet and necklace are combined together and changed into color black.

"Peter, let's go to our laboratory room. Meanwhile you two stay here, and don't you dare escape." Maria said as she pointed at us then she left along with Peter and the bodyguards.

"Argh." Travis said in pain as he kneel down and closed his eyes.

"Tr-Travis, are you okay?" I worriedly asked.

"I'm okay, don't even think about me." He said as he scoffed then he coughed.

"B-But you look in pain-" I said then he cutted me off.

"Don't even make me say it twice, Romeo." He said in anger as he stood up and opened his eyes then I sighed.

"You really love her, huh? Is it because I was gone for six months?" He asked as I flinched.

"U-Uhh, n-no Travis, I swear. Things just happened too fast." I lied.

"I see why." He said then he sat down beside me.

"I know you are mad at me, but I suggest you listen to Juliet first. I don't know if you noticed, but I'm pretty sure she is confused with her feelings and I know she is still in love with you." I sighed as I looked at him.

"You're just saying that just to keep us back together, but no matter what explanation it is, it won't change the point that she cheated on me, with you." He said in anger.

"Haven't you heard me, Travis? She is confused with her feelings, I know that because I was once in that stage. Lastly, I know that you still love her, but you still kept to see her as a bad person after what happened. If I were you Travis, I would think things first, just like what Maria said about regret." I sighed as he looked down.

"You and I have known each other for many years already Romeo, you know whenever I am with some toxic people I will remove them immediately in my life." He said.

"Yes I've known you for so many years Travis, but this kind of mindset and attitude of yours is on a different level, maybe twice as worse. Never let anger control you for the person you really are. If you don't wanna listen to me, it's your problem but I don't want to hear you regretting things in the future." I said.

After that, Travis didn't respond in an hour of silence inside the room. Later on, Maria and the rest of her people arrived back in the room with a shiny black jewelry on her hand.

"Welcome to the team Travis, this is our gift for you." Maria said as they smiled then Travis puts on the necklace.

"In terms of magic, we need to transform to be twice as powerful as our normal selves. So all you need to say to transform is 'Devilio Magic, on!'." Maria continued then Travis nodded and I worriedly looked at him.

"Devilio Magic, on!" Travis said then a huge dark light got surrounded on him.

After a few seconds, the huge dark light faded and we looked up at him with his dark color costume.

"Now this is twice as awesome unlike our Magicias, right Romeo?" Travis asked as he smiled then I nervously nodded.

"Actually, he is now named as Rodolfo." Maria said as she places her hand on my shoulder.

"R-Right, splendid name, Rodolfo." Travis said as he nervously smiled.

"Alright everyone, it's already midnight and I need my beauty sleep. Sleep well everyone!" Maria said as she walked to outside then they left.

MARIA'S POINT OF VIEW

"Before sleeping, make sure you grab Juliet's earring. I'm sure she is the last one to have a Magicia jewelry, so that we can be able to have contact with her precious aunt." I said then the bodyguards nodded and left as I evilly smirked.

After I sang the song, I arrived into my personal room, then I saw the picture of Celestia, Michael and I. I let out a deep sigh as I ripped the picture with my magic.

TRAVIS' POINT OF VIEW

Surprisingly, I had a hard time sleeping even though I am with Romeo inside the room. I decided to go to the balcony for some peace and fresh air, then as I looked up at the sky, I  felt a tear dropping from my eyes.
