Following the method, he gathered qi from his surroundings and into his dantian where he then cycled it through his newly constructed infinity construct. The technique stated that given his bloodline ability of constantly gathering qi, he didn't have to cultivate as the qi would naturally be gathered into the construct, but Lucius wanted to speed up the process to see the effects of the cultivation technique that was newly improved.
