Chapter 12: Lucy's Thoughts

After thinking for a while, Lucas started shaking his head and spoke.

"The suggestion you game would fine for the condition like us for someone else, but as I'm hated by everyone your suggestion becomes death threat to me."

After saying that to her he called her over to the table and showed the map.

"As you see here, this town is surrounded by our enemies." Pointing at the town in north side Lucas said

"Here on the north side of the town, is the town that houses Baron Tillers. He is lapdog of Count Newt and this Count is lap dog of Marques Berg" Pointing at the port town in south side Lucas continued

"Here on south side is the port town, from there pirates may always come and attack us." And pointing to town at east side.

"Here is Viscount Leo's city, in the battle ten years ago, his father and few elite soldiers died by the hands of spy soldiers of my mother. So, he too hates me and will use every chance he has to kill if I settle there."

"And in the west side is covered by hills so safe but, it also traps us there. So that town is no good."

Hearing Lucas reasons, Lucy got shocked. She was not only shocked by the various dangers around the town but, she was mainly shocked due to ability to understand the situation around the town and sense the danger lurking around by Lucas. And also, to refuse her words.

You have to know before today Lucas never showed any interest in geography or leaning about the various nobles present in the country.

She quickly knelt down before Lucas and ask for forgiveness and punishment.

"I'm Sorry, your highness."

"Because of my lack of understand about the surrounding, I almost lead your highness to dead."

"I ask your highness to give me harsh punishment."

"And…"

"I ask for your highness forgiveness too…."

Lucas was slightly shocked by her sudden reaction and he calmed down remembering his current identity.

"Let go of past identity. I'm Lucas Evergreen, prince of Evergreen kingdom. I have to act as a befitting prince, worthy of my people and to not bring same to my parent."

As Lucas was thinking about this, he was unknowingly changing due to chaos stones.

While Lucas was in deep thought, Lucy was sweating slightly down on her knees. Seeing Lucas hasn't reply to her and seemed to be in deep thought, her expression changed.

"As I thought, his highness seemed to have changed to totally. If before I did mistakes his highness would have forgiven me and would have asked me to get up from my knees."

"It seems my test was right."

Yes, it was test from Lucy to Lucas. As she started to feel his changes from the early morning, she was thinking of a way to test him. And now she got her chance.

Yes, from the start it was test whether, showing seemingly good town as a fief ow to go on knees to ask for forgiveness. It was her part of test. As a only disciple of Princess Sofia, how can she don't know about the surrounding of the town and how can she don't know how to scheme on other when the are constantly under danger in the palace.

What can we say, well even when Lucas went through all kinds of suffering in his past life, he never schemed against anyone, So, he fell easily in the trap set by Lucy.

And even though he accepted all the memories and accepted his current identity, he hadn't much time to go through all the memories and adjust his mentality, so he gave away my hints to Lucy.

And when knelt down suddenly, due to its suddenness Lucas was shocked wasn't able to reply quickly and again fell into Lucy's scheme.
