K-rank

Today is July 22nd, 2029. I was just having dinner with my little brother, Aiden luck. He tries to hide the fact that he very much dislikes me. But he fails at doing so. And my big sister Victoria Luck. Who doesn't even try to act like she hates me. She hates me because she says that I'm a loser. I mean she not wrong but that's kinda messed up.

But Victoria is the only one that is able to hold up our family. Our dad is in the hospital because he was poisoned by a mysterious flower in a portal. And we don't know a way to heal him neither do the doctors.

Our mom just up and left for no reason at all whatsoever.

Victoria is also a S-rank awakened. Who is pretty wealthy. To b honest I don't even know why she is still living with me and my brother. When she could probably buy a mansion and still have a couple million dollars left.

As I was walking to go and put my plate into the sink my eyes start glowing cyan(which is actually my natural eye color, I get bullied for that). Then I start hovering and then I fall back down.

My brother and sister gasp as they see this.

"QUICK RUN TO THE ANY RANK/SKILL BUILDING RIGHT NOW" both of my siblings yell out.

So, then I grab my skateboard and skate to the nearest rank/skill building.

I open the door and a pretty lady greets me and says "Thank you for coming please sit down over there" she says pointing at an empty chair.

"Excuse me sir, what is your name"? The lady asks.

"Axel-Axel luck" I answer.

"Please wait for your name to be called Mr. Luck" she says.

I nod and then wait.

Two minutes later my name finally gets called. I get up and walk right into the rank/skill checking room.

"Please place your hand on the sphere" a lady says. I do what the lady said for me to do and I place my hand on the sphere.

Then there's a loud beep that came out of nowhere.

"Thank you" the lady says.

I see the lady try to hold back laughter. But it's really obvious. But then she stops and then becomes confused.

"Hmm, it says here that you are a K-rank but you are an arch mage" she explains. Well I guess that explains why she was trying to hold back laughing.

"What's an arch mage"? I ask.

"An arch mage is what we call an awakened with three magic skills" she answered.

"A mage is an awakened with just one magic skill, a wizard is an awakened with two magic skills and an arch mage is an awakened with three magic skills" she explains.

"Mostly only quadruple S ranks are become arch mages" she explains.

"Okay then what's the problem"? I ask.

"Well the problem is that you are a K-rank but you are also an arch mage which isn't supposed to happen" she answered.

"Please put your hand on the sphere once more" she says. I do what she wants and put my hand on the sphere.

"Is this thing broken"? she asks herself.

Then she calls in the mechanic to check if the sphere is broken or not. A couple seconds later the mechanics are here and the lady tells them what's happening. They check on the sphere and even the mechanics are stunned.

"There's nothing wrong with the sphere, that guy is just broken" one of the mechanics says to the lady.

I of course am disappointed because I waited all my life to become awakened all just to find out that there's something wrong with me.

I leave the room disappointed, I grab my skateboard and just quietly and sadly walk back home.

I open the door and my brother and sister are still there waiting for me to arrive.

"What rank are you"? my sister asks.

"What skill do you have" my brother asks.

I just look at both of them and say "I'm Broken".

They both look at me confused.

"As in the good broken or the bad broken"? My brother asks.

"The bad broken" I answer.

Then I tell them what happened at the rank/skill building . My sister as always tells me that she is disappointed in me. My brother tries to comfort me but I know that he's also disappointed and disgusted.

I go to my room and sleep until the next day.

"AKE UP- WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD" I hear someone say.

Me thinking it's my brother just brush it off and then tries to go back to sleep.

"I SAID WAKE UP" this time I wake up and see a floating orb.

"Finally you're awake" the orb says.

"TWO WHOLE FRICKING MINUTES OF ME TRYING TO WAKE YOU UP, this is why I hate heavy sleepers" the orb complains.

I am surprised and also kind of annoyed.

"What are you"? I ask.

"Hrm, how do I put this, oh I know, okay so I'm a game and you are the player, do what I tell you to do and you become stronger" the orb explains.

"Uhm, okay whatever this must just be a dream I'm just going back to sleep" I say.

"Ha, no you are not I am not going to waste another two minutes trying to wake you up" the orb says.

"Ya know what, this is your first quest, I guess you can call it" the orb says.

The a screen pops up saying *Complete these three things in three hours or else you die*

* 30 sit ups

* 30 push ups

*5km run

I see the window and then in a hurry I get out of my bed and I do the 30 sit ups and push ups. Even though I didn't want to I also didn't want to die. I put on my shoes and start the 5km run. Then I start asking the orb for some info.

"Again let me ask this question, what are you"? I ask again.

"I've already answered that, I'm a game and your the player, you have to do what I say to get stronger" the orb answers.

"Who created you"? I ask.

"That's something for you to figure out" the orb answers.

"Why did you choose me to be the player and are there any other players"? I asked.

"I chose you because you are special, and no you are the only player" the orb answered.

"What do you mean, in not special" I tell the orb.

"Yes, you are, first off you are a K-rank but you are also an arch mage" the orb says.

"And also my creator chose you so of course you are special" the orb added.

Another screen opens but this time it says *Quest completed*

* 30 Sit ups- COMPLETED

*30 Push ups- COMPLETED

* 5km Run- COMPLETED

"UGH, finally" I cried.

"Also, why did you only give me 30 sit ups and push ups and a 5km run, isn't it supposed to be more"? I asked while out of breath.

"Well my master programmed me for your needs" the orb answered.

"Also, the 5km run is kind of a 10km run because you have to run back home" the orb said.

Later on I open the house door and under my sister gearing up.

"Where are you going"? I asked.

"A new portal opened so I'm going in" My sister answers.

*NEW QUEST GO WITH YOU SISTER TO THE B RANK PORTAL OR ELSE YOU DIE"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN GO TO THE B RANK PORTAL" I yelled.

"I JUST CAME BACK FROM A basically 10KM NOW YOU WANT ME TO GO INTO A PORTAL THAT IS 5 LEVELS HIGHER THAN MINE, SCREW YOU, YOU DUMB GAME" I continued to yell.

My sister surprised and thinking that her little brother is going crazy just starts to leave with out asking any questions.

"Wait, can go with you V"? I asked

The she starts laughing right when I said that.

"Do you really think that a K-rank would be able to even step one foot into a portal"? Victoria asked.

"That's what I'm saying but this stupid or want me to" I said as I pointed at the orb.

"What orb"? Victoria asks.

"Wait are you telling me that you can't see the orb"? I asked surprised.

"Are you on drugs or something, whatever come if you want, don't blame me if you die" Victoria said.

Then Victoria gets in her car and so do I. Then another window pops up this time saying *STATS WINDOW*

"You have 100 stat points choose wisely in how you want to use them" the orb said.

"Hm, okay so I want everything to be even don't want one thing to have more than the other" I said in my head.

"Okay put 20 points in all of them" I said.

"Alright then you have 40 points left do you want to use them"? the orb asked.

"No" I answered.

"Who are you talking to" Victoria asked.

"The orb" I answered.

"Wait orb, if I have 20 points in magic does that mean in can use magic"? I asked.

"No, you need at least 100 points in magic to get magic" the orb answered.

"Dang, that sucks" I said.

Later we arrived at the portal that had opened. It looks like there were awakened people from C rank and A rank.

"Who's thus guild master"? an awakened asked my sister.

"My idiot K rank b little brother" Victoria answered.

"Why did you bring a K rank to a B rank portal"? another awakened asked.

"He wanted to come" Victoria answered.

Another screen popped up and this time it said *QUEST COMPLETED GO WITH YOU SISTER TO THE B RANK PORTAL*

*60 STAT POINTS RECEIVED*

"You have another 100 points use them wisely" the orb said.

"Alright, open the stats window" I commanded.

The stats window opened.

*MAGIC-20

"Do the same thing I did before 20 points to all" I said.

"I'm guessing you want to keep the remaining points" the orb guessed.

"Yup" I agreed.

*NEW QUEST KILL ONE MONSTER OR ELSE YOU DIE*

"Why is it that the punishment is always death" I asked.

"So that you won't chicken out and not do it" the orb answered.

"Also, HOW THE HELL IS A K RANK GOING TO KILL A B RANK MONSTER"? I yelled.

"I don't know you figure it out" the orb said.

Everyone heard me yell and then they started to stare at me.

"Is your brother okay guild master"? one awakened whispered to my sister.

"I don't even know" she whispered back.

Then my sister walked in from of the crowed of the other awakened.

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION"? Victoria yelled to get everyone's attention.

"This is a B rank portal, be careful and don't die if you need help then run to the person next to you for help" Victoria said.

Then she went into the portal. Everyone else followed. I tried to be brave and then I went into the portal. Then I remembered something a non-awakened person would know. I forgot to bring a weapon. Now I can't leave the portal because once you enter you can leave unless if the boss if defeated.

So now obviously I'm hiding away from the monsters. Then the quest window opened and then I am reminded that if I don't kill one monster I will die. But out of nowhere a sword is just conveniently laying right in front of me. I pick it up and then I see one monster that's getting beat up by another awakened.

So I rush to the monster and then I steal the guys kill.*YOU HAVE KILLED DIRE WOLF*

*200 STAT POINTS GAINED*

*QUEST COMPLETE KILL ONE MONSTER"

*460 POINTS GAINED*

The awakened wasn't happy that I stole his kill but he forgot about it and then went to another monster.

"Alright player you have 700 stat points use them" the orb said.

"I have 700 stat points hmm okay I know, 100 for all stats" I said.

"You have 100 points left do you want to use them"? the orb asked.

"Eh, nah not yet" I said.

"Bring up the stats window" I told the orb

"Actually put 20 points in all of them" I said.

"Alright, done" the orb said.

"You have 40 points left" the orb said.

"Oh wait I have 140 magic points can I use magic now"? I asked.

"Yes, you can" the orb answered.

"YESSSS" I SCREAMED IN EXCITEMENT.

But that was bad because the boss heard me and appeared.

*NEW QUEST KILL THE BOSS, IF YOU FAIL YOU DIE*

"Why did I do that" I whispered to myself.

"Of course the orb would tell to do something that I can't do" I said.

*Hey orb what is magic skills"? I asked.

"Dark magic, Light magic and Gravity magic" the orb answered.

"Wait hold up, you're telling me I have the three rarest magic skills"? I asked surprised.

"Yes" the orb answered.

A new window popped up. *MAGIC SKILLS*

*GRAVITY MAGIC: ZERO GRAVITY

*GRAVITY MAGIC: FALL

*DARK MAGIC: SLASH OF DARKNESS

*LIGHT MAGIC: LIGHT WINGS

"Okay, time to beat my quest" I said while being brave and cocky, thinking I could beat it my self because I have the rarest magic skills.

"Hey orb what rank is this monster"? I asked.

"This monster is the giant saber tooth dire wolf, it's rank is triple S" the orb answered.

"What is a triple S ranked monster doing in a B ranked portal"? I asked.

"Maybe one of Omega's robots that make the portals messed up and accidentally put a very high ranks monster in it's wrong place" the orb answered.

"So, you want me to kill that"? I asked.

"Yes that's correct" the orb answered.

"I hate you" I said.

"I hate you too" the orb said.

While I was having my conversation with the orb, the other awakened where attacking the SSS ranked monster. This was my moment to test out my magic.

"How do I use magic"? I asked.

"Just say it I guess" the orb said.

"GRAVITY MAGIC: FALL" I said as I held out my hand.

Then the monster fell and tried to get back up but could because the gravity was to much for it. This was my chance to use my next skill.

"DARK MAGIC: SLASH OF DARKNESS" I said as I swung my sword. Then a slash of darkness appeared and hit the monster. It did quite I but if of damage but not enough to kill it.

"LIGHT MAGIC: LIGHT WINGS" I said. Then out if nowhere wings sprung of my back. Then start flying, it was hard to control it at first but I was able to get it later on. When I figured out how to use my wings I just started spamming slash of darkness until the SSS monster died.

*QUEST COMPLETE KILL SABERTOOTH-DIRE WOLF*

"Phew, thank God for gravity magic" I said tired.

"Open stats window" I said.

"Whoa, I have 2,040 points, how am I going to split it"? I ask myself.

"Ok so first give everything 200 points" I said.

"Next, give everything 100 points" I continued.

"Lastly, give everything 100 points" I finished.

"Epic, I defeated a SSS ranked monster all by myself and now I have 440 points in all of my stats, things are looking good" I said congratulating myself.

"How did you do that"? an awakened asked.

"I thought you were a k rank"? another questioned.

Everyone just started bombarding me with questions that even I don't know.

"GRAVITY MAGIC: ZERO GRAVITY" I said.

Everyone started floating after I did that

"GRAVITY MAGIC: FALL" I said. Then everyone fell.

"Can I go home I am very tired"? I asked my sister.

"Yeah sure" she answered.

After that we left the portal and went home. Then I slept for a very long time after all of that work.
