Elysia couldn't believe it. "Frey!" She tried to run, but the guards held her tight. Tears welled up in her eyes, seeing that the only person she could count on was defeated and dying from the brutal blow. Covering her mouth in horror, she could only cry.

Vault also couldn't understand what happened. His precognition had never let her down before.

That was a shame; his people would die from the ambition of a mad man. Yurzi could only blink. The captured adventurers began to sob.

Grinning, Gritch turned to him, pointing the winter nightmare directly in Vault's direction. "You are next."

He began marching towards Vault steadily. The caste leader and his men braced themselves. Prepared to fight tooth and nail if necessary. He and Yurzi would be doomed to leave the clan at the mercy of that madman.

"Look! He's still alive!" One of the ratfolk onlookers yelled, pointing in Frey's direction.
