"There won't be a Dylan Jr."

"No need. I get it, you're embarrassed of me."

She came closer, "Sweetie no, I'm not embarrassed of you."

I slightly raised my voice, "You told your friends I'm married to a man in the navy, why did you do that?"

Dylan spoke up, "I'll wait outside."

Glaring at my grandmother, I placed my hand on his thigh, "No, stay, we're done here."

I walked over to my door and opened it, "Get out."

"You're not going to let me explain?"

I opened the door even wider, "I already told you, you don't need to explain anything. I understand everything clearly."

Dylan sighed, "At least hear her out for a few minutes."

We had a small staring contest before I eventually gave in with a roll of my eyes and a groan.

"Fine, you've got 2 minutes."

I checked my empty wrist, "Starting now."
