My eyes widened and an uncontrollable smile appeared on my face, "You're gonna help me?"
Dylan took another fry from my plate, "I am, but I need you to tell me something first."
I nodded, "Ask me anything?"
He looked closely at me, "Were you afraid of him?"
I furrowed my brows and tilted my head to the side, "Afraid of who?"
Dylan sighed, "Nickolai."
I tried to keep my cool, but I don't do well under pressure. How did he even find out about Tyler and me in the first place?
I was still hellbent on keeping everything a secret, so I played dumb, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
Dylan sighed and rolled his eyes, "I know everything, Katie, so you don't have to lie to me anymore. Now answer my question, were you afraid of him?"
My mouth opened and closed, but I couldn't decide on an answer. I was kind of afraid of him, but beneath all the blood and danger, he was still the same Tyler I met at a supermarket.
