The story has a lot of action, blood, gory, and battles. It's a mix of sci-fi with magic, runes and cultivation and there is a lot of lore from other cultures, like the Nord/Viking culture.

It has runes, wizards, shamans, mutations, genes, high technology, guns, spells, and abilities.

The MC doesn't get reincarnated, and the novel has a different approach to system, that is very subtle. So, if you don't like system or the typical tropes involving Isekai you are on the right book.

Btw: People said the battle scenes and war scenes are awesome.

The Last Warlock

The soldier took a drag from his cigarette, and thew it to the side.

"The thing about this newbie..." said the soldier, but the captain stopped paying attention to the story and, following the motion made by the soldier throwing his cigarette, glimpsed that there was a man coming from the side and turned his head. "Hey you, what you looking at? Keep moving!"

The man lowered his head and looked at his own shoes, and there was a cigarette, still burning over his black shoes. The man showed no emotions, no rage, no contempt, but still kept glaring at that half cigarette still burning.

The man raised his gaze from his shoes, and the bitter smile on his face could be fully seen, he just wanted to have a normal day, for once.

"You! don't look at me with that face. Keep moving or I will arrest you for disturbing my peace of mind. This is still inside the border of the 5th floor town." Said the captain, pointing his finger in the man's direction.
