Scarred Man

Tina snapped out of her dialogue and regained her professional atmosphere and started to explain to them.

" Oh, there are two ways to put information on the card. The first is to use a drop of blood on the card. The other method is to fill out a form with your information so we can input it for you."

Hearing Tina's explanation, 5 people in the group decided to use the easier blood method while Jax and John being races that lacked blood could only fill out the form.

" As for you, Mr. Windsor, this bag contains your reward for completing the task of guiding these folks safely here."

Tina then handed the brown bag to Senior Adin. While he grabbed the bag, he took a glance inside before shutting it.

" Is there anything else I can help you out with today? "

" Oh, yes, when will the portal open up today."

After getting his reward, Senior Adin, then asked when the portal that could take Trinity and them to town would open up.

" It should be opening up in around half an hour, if you want we can put you and your comrades in a room so you can wait for the portal to open."

' What a nice gal. So respectful and caring for the elderly. Society does still have some good people after all.'

Senior Adin felt touched by Tina's offer, however he shook his head as he didn't feel that it was right to impose on the guild strained resources.

" Really, I think that's too troublesome for you right?"

"Not at all! After your service and your long time being an adventurer of our guild this is the least we can do."

Tina insisted with great vigor and with a tone of not taking a no for an answer. Senior Adin found her level of persistence quite odd and had a strange thought pop up.

" I see then I'll take you up on that offer, can you thank the local guild leader for me."

"Of course."

Tina after convincing Senior Adin to stay, led them to a room where they could relax and pass the time.

Soon after everyone started relaxing at the relief that they will begin their first step out of the beginner zone and truly start their journey.

" Senior Adin, when we are in town, what do you recommend we do first?"

Senior Adin thought about his answer a bit before responding.

" It depends on what your motivation is after this. If you want to live an easy life I suggest you find a support guild and acquire a skill. If you want to get stronger than I suggest going to a school or go to a low level dungeon."

Trinity, Jessica, and William all digested the information before a glint of determination appeared in their eyes after reaching the same answer.

' I need to get stronger!'

...

Back at the Black Stone guild, Dean was in the cold embrace of the zombie secretary as he waited for Barbara, Jenny, Carroll and the rest to come back.

'I can't believe that they just left me here when they went out to buy equipment.'

'Sigh, being part of the Ooze race has always been showing its perks but I had to encounter one of its major weaknesses.'

Going back in time a couple of minutes ago, the zombie secretary just came back with the group's tickets for the portal.

After receiving the golden ticket, Carroll with her giant bone Hanes lifted the ticket and stared at the time on the ticket.

" 30 minutes until the portal opens up?"

" Yes, if you want we can open a room for you to stay until the portal opens."

Carroll waved her hands in the air as she said " There's no need, I'll get these folks some presents for joining our faction."

Barbara, curious about what the gift could be, asked Carroll about them.

"Gifts?"

" Yes, but more like we are going to be shopping for some beginner equipment for you."

The group nodded before turning around to leave for the nearest equipment store. But just like always Jenny always asks the critical questions in the group.

" Uh, Dean, can you even wear equipment!"

The group stopped walking and looked at the ball of slime that was bouncing around on Barbara's head.

"Now that you mentioned it, I remember people if your race don't usually wear armor."

Before Dean could answer, Carroll grabbed Dean's ball-like body and took out a helmet from who knows where and put it on him.

* Ding! Due to your special race characteristics, all effects from equipment is nullified.*

" See I can wear armor, it's just not very effective on me."

Dean tried to put up his best explanation but once Carroll took charge and flicked her finger on the helmet which In turn went through Dean without protecting him at all.

Witnessing that scene, the group handed Dean to the zombie secretary and proceeded to leave.

" Wait, wait, wait I need clothes to cover up. You know I can't walk around naked like this. It's public indecency."

Back to the present, Dean was sitting on the zombie secretary's lap, who he found out name turned out to be Aurora, while she was working with other adventures.

A man who was covered in scars came up to Aurora. The man was a fellow player as for how he knew that it was because the system told him that it was a player and not a character, which was essential with how game tags don't exist in God's Playgrounds.

" Hello, how may I help you today?" saying her classic line Aurora got into her work mode.

" Yes, is this the place where I can get the tickets to use the portal?"

Just as the man finished speaking with his gravelly voice he saw a large blob sitting on the secretary's lap.

He was just about to dismiss the blob as a toy or some weird character until he heard the notification that it was a player.

' What the f**k. How the hell is he sitting on her lap so casually.'

" Yes, this is the place. I also recommend that you also get an ID to make your trip easier."

Snapping back his attention away from the strange blob he requested to get a ticket and an ID.

Unlike the time where Aurora went to get the tickets, this time Aurora just filled a request before someone else brought them in.

Just as the scarred man received his ID and ticket he turned to leave. However just as he turned he heard a smooth eerie voice call him.

" Yo, you want to enter a quick fight."
