Lawson and the others crowded in the lab with the rest of the workers, Lawson's left leg warped in gauze. The bear continent got in the doorway to the lab, it roared, slashed, and rammed but it eventually gave up and left. Multiple were wounded and they had at least one dead. He wanted to make sure the coast was clear before even thinking of leaving the house.
"One of yall need for go out to see if it ok" He told the remaining guards
They looked less than pleased with the request
"Listen, our only way of communicating with the outside world is cut off. I really go anywhere with a mauled leg."
One of the guards eventually nodded and got up to look. He poked his head out of the lab door and quickly ran back.
"Shit, is it still here?" Lawson quickly asked
"No, i just didn't want to be there long" The guard answered
"Oh, for fucks sake"
Lawson got down on his stomach and using his arms, crawled to the door. He got up the stairs and peered out the door. The bear was nowhere in sight.
"You dumbasses. The damn thing is not even here anymore. Get over here and help me up"
The guards quickly came to Lawson aid, helping him on his feet. The hallways were destroyed, claws marks all over it. The living room wasn't any better, with the couch and table ripped to shreds.
"Well, the bosses are not gonna like this" He thought
"So Lawson, what are we gonna do?" One of the guards asked.
"Well we can't leave, let's be real, there are probably lots of other animals and other shit out there that might want to kill us. Two, We can't talk to anybody on the outside"
"Wait, I got my shit working!" Someone said
Lawson looked back and saw Adam with his phone charger in the wall.
"Your phone is working!?" He asked
"It was fucking up for a bit, but i restated and now it working semi good." Adam said. He unblocked his phone and tried calling. A few moments passed and he looked at the phone somberly
"What is it now?" Lawson asked the man
"The damn towers aren't working." Adam answered
This took Lawson by surprise, cell towers often had generators like the one he used to keep the lab up and running. Of course, the lab's generator was behind loads of junk when the shit hit the fan.
"The fuck kind of blackout is this?" He thought
He looked around at the group as he devised a plan.
"Everybody, listen up. You guys stay here, keep an eye on the workers. If they try to leave, stop them, but if they escape, don't go after them. Let them die out there" He said
"What are you gonna do boss?" Adam asked
"Some of yall need to come down with me into town. Scope out the situation down there"
Lawson picked Adam and a couple more to help him out of the house.
"How old is that truck?" Lawson asked pointing to one parked next to the house
"It was made in 72, why?" Adam answered with a question
"Does it run well?"
"Yeah, it great for her age"
"Good, that's all I need to know. Now come on, lets gets this over with"
The team of guards helped Lawson into the passenger seat while Adam got the driver's seat.
"Where to boss" Adam asked as he put the key in the ignition
"The bar. We'll figure out what happened there and what our next move is. Plus, we need to see if a certain somebody is there or not"
Adam just nodded and pulled out the driveway and into the town.

Gaagii Toss the ball into the net as the whistle blows out.
"GOOOOOOOL"
He heard cheering and laughter rise in the air. His team got together and celebrated.
"Gaagii, that was amazing" Chochmo said
"Na, its was nothing" Gaagii respond
The team broke up and began to walk their way to the benches, when the lights went out.
"The hell" Cha'Tima, The boys coach said
People watching began to tap on the phones , trying to get a call out but had no success.
"Listen guys, great game. something is going so best you guys just go home." Cha'Tima said.
The boys gave their goodbyes and started to go to their respective homes.
Gaagii and Chomco was exiting the field when a voice came form behind them, "Guys, wait"
Gaagii dreaded the voice but turned around with Chochmo anyway.
A girl with shiny brown skin and flowing dark air came to them "That was amazing, you two"
"Thanks, Awinita" Chochmo said with a hand wave
"No problem. You guys want to hang out tomorrow?" Awinita asked
"Of course" Chochmo answered immediately.
"Alright so you guys then." Awinita said before running away
"She so cool, right?" Chochmo asked, before realizing Gaagii wasn't there. He turned and ran after him
Catching up to Gaagii "Listen, I know you have feeling for her. You cant be running away like that man, you never get her that way. Also, that was a great shot. You really need to stop putting yourself down"
Gaagii shrunk down more "K, whatever you said C"
"Hey, you want to spend a night over at my place. My parents wont mind, because, you know"
"Don't worry, I've been dealing with this for 17 years now. I'm used to it"
"Dude, you not supposed to be used to something like that" Chochmo said, with worry in his eyes
"Listen, we really don't get help from the government, you know. And besides, if I ever need to, I will come to you. OK?"
Chochmo clearly wasn't alright with the situation, but he knew that his friend was stubborn. So, he was forced to agree.
They departed as Gaagii went to his home. The plaid white and blue with cracks at the foundation stood before him. He entered the dirty door. He quickly sped through the kitchen to the living room, when he saw his dad. Passed out on the coach again, with white crystals showered on the table. He went over to the couch and rolled him over on his side.
After that he went upstairs to his room and checked if his stuff was untouched. His bug out bag was still in its place, long lasting food and water including. The first aid kit was still intact, with all the pills still in it. His trusty binoculars, Swiss army knife and slingshot were all there. The bear spray and axe was still under lock and key.
Satisfied with his survey Gaagii went to bed, dreading possible hanging to deal with his dad drugged self in the morning. He just watched the electricity come back on tomorrow. As he was thinking about the both hopeful and terrible next day, he heard a screech from outside. He turned just to see a hawk smashed it self into his window
