Dila's extended family is busy attending Hari's sangeet, Lusi's nephew. Sangeet is a series of Indian wedding ceremonies that invite friends and family to gather together and dance the night away as a sign of gratitude for the upcoming wedding day. Hari held a sangeet night because his future wife was of Indian descent.

Wedding ceremonies in India are almost the same as the Minang people. If in India there is a Mehendi night, in Minang, it is a Bainai night, meaning the night of painting henna on the bride.

Sangeet is one of the pre-wedding processions in India. This procession is a celebration of the gathering of two families who are united through their married children.

On this occasion, the families of both parties will dance and sing Bollywood songs.
