"...Are you sure pal?...It's another thirty moons before the next time it opens... isn't it?" Pointed out Whooves as the two stallion watched in curiosity the Magical Mirror that led to another dimension, now active and lightly glowing as all the sensors around screamed bloody murder...

*sigh* "It's not about the wait Whooves...I can turn it on by myself with a few generators... It's just my magic... I can't risk dimensional and body modifying experiments when my magic is unstable to this degree..." His body shuddered as he touched the fluid like surface of the mirror, quickly taking it back as his magic turned violent...

"Ah I see! But ...what about all those alarms?" Asked the brown coated stallion, pointing to all the blaring and blinking devices around them, to which Starfall just waved his hoof in dismissal.

"Nothing noteworthy. A few warnings about spatial fluctuations and a fickle amount of magic passing through to the other side." Said Starfall easily, still focused on the mirror with an unreadable expression, so Whooves simply nodded.

"I see... Then I guess I'll go back to my studies. I think I might be able to breed a garbage eating Parasprite soon. Though I'm still unable to stop the multiplication thingy...but using them as genetic printers alongside the hydra flesh might be a good idea..." Mused the science geek to himself as he walked towards the entrance of the Spatial Research Wing.

"Make sure you don't cause an infestation Whooves!" Called out Starfall half joking.

"Don't worry! I got this all under control!" Called the Stallion, not reassuring Starfall very much...

Starfall once again sighed and looked back towards the mirror... His expression slowly fell...

There was another reason he didn't want to go through it just yet...

His hoof went through the fluid like surface of the mirror causing a weird sensation to spread through it and causing his magical hiccup to go into overdrive making him properly uncomfortable as he had to focus so that his magic didn't go out of control.

Through the mirror, he saw his hoof, or what used to be a hoof, now proudly sprouting five white, hairless appendages...

It was a human hand...

Starfall clenched his teeth, his eyes reminiscent of a time long past...

"I... I'm just...not ready..." He whispered with a shudder looking at the fingers, so familiar yet at the same time so alien to him...

He continued to observe his hand through the mirror, until a sudden feeling of wrongness invaded him, following an especially strong "hiccup".

He watched in horror as his hand began to tremble rapidly, before being enveloped in a wisp of magic, his originally regular hand suddenly becoming clawed, bone-like...and oddly familiar...

Small greenish black veins started to creep from the tips of his nails and Starfall did the only logical thing he could...He took his hoof out of the portal in a hurry...

His breathing was erratic as he looked the now regular hoof all over, and he could feel whatever went on inside of it receding as his inner magic took care of it instantly.

He slowly calmed down and looked back at the mirror with a new sense of danger...

'Another reason for me to stay away from it for the time being... It's enough with my magic going all wonky. let's not add another factor with whatever mess goes on with magic in that "human" world..." Thought Starfall, feeling his magic finally calm down enough for him to relax...

Deciding to postpone any research into other dimensions for after he gets ahold of his magic, Starfall sealed the chamber and reactivated all security protocols.

Maybe he could look into researching Chaosville? Or Limbo? Those two dimensions wouldn't be as problematic for him as the Equestria Girls world? Right? Right!?...

No, better stay away from those all together until he's stronger. He's not yet ready to fight Stygian and in no way ready to resist a dimensions worth of Chaos Magic...

With his idea about messing with forces way out of his league affirmed, Starfall started to hum a tune he remembered, his mood already recovering.

"♪It's time! To try a better way to be bad!♪...Huh huhuhum...tututu...to be bad!♪ United as one! Teamwork? Please! What a fad!♪...Combine all our strengths...Well go to any lengths...Once we have a better way to be bad!♪"

With a grin slowly growing at his face, Starfall went out of the lab, a villain song on his lips making his mood improved despite the fact it spoke of revenge against the mane six... He found it especially hilarious to hum it because of that... Maybe he could change it into..."a better way into bed"?...Yes that's perfect! he laughed to himself.

"♪It's time! To find a better way into bed...United as one. Teamwork? Yes! What a fun...♪" With a more appropriate version of the song on his lips, Starfall went for a walk through the white covered streets of Ponyville...

"Alright girls! We practiced and I'm sure we're going to do great!" Twilight said to everypony present in the room receiving a barrage of nods, sound of agreement and happy squeals from her friends.

"Let's not forget about our very best narrator Spike! You're doing great Darling! I'm so happy you agreed to join us." Rarity pointed out presenting an embarrassed Spike before hugging him and causing Spike to blush, mostly of embarrassment for being pointed out.

"It's nothing Rarity. I'm just happy to be here." Spike said but was interrupted by Meena picking up Spike with her head and throwing him onto her back.

"Don't be modest Spike! The Narrator role is very important In the Pageant! How else would you explain the deeper points of the story to everypony!" She exclaimed further embarrassing the teenage dragon.

"And I'm sure Sweetie Belle and the others are going to really enjoy watching your performance in Canterlot on the Heartswarming Eve." Winked Rarity, and every mare giggled at the blushing dragon.

"Um...When are we going to tell Starfall?..." Whispered Fluttershy and everyone turned towards her making her eep in surprise for receiving so much attention.

"Take it easy Sugarcube! We're going ta make it a surprise! Don'tch ya remember? We want him ta enjoy the play like everypony! So we invited him fer the Pageant but didn't say that we're playin' in it, hahaha!" Applejack explained and Fluttershy blushed for having forgotten their main objective.

"Ok let's not waste any more time everyone! We have a rehearsal play to finish and then we need to get ready for tomorrow!" Twilight said urging everyone onto the makeshift scene where they trained their roles...

"Mr Starfall!!! G-good morning! D-Do you like m-my new dress? I wore it hoping to meet you..." Diamond Tiara said with a stutter, blushing profusely, when she found Starfall walking down the snowy streets.

"Why hello Tiara. It also good to see you. Although I'm pretty sure it's afternoon already." He said with a joking tone looking up at the clearly afternoon sky, making the little filly blush even harder.

Though as he looked at her, he noticed how light the dress was and how her legs trembled in the snow.

"Tiara! What are you wearing!" He said in a worried tone causing her eyes to widen slightly.

"Y-you don't like it?" She said looking very disappointed but Starfall sighed and kneeled in front of the clearly freezing filly.

"Silly Girl! It's not that I don't like it. But it's winter! Your going to get a cold! Come quick! We'll get you somewhere warm so you don't freeze on me!" He picked a surprised Tiara with magic and brought her to the Sugarcube Corner on the other side of the road.

"Mrs Cake! Two Hot Chocolates please! With Marshmallows and cream if possible." He called out while putting a momentarily speechless Tiara in a chair and wrapping her in a hot, magically conjured blanket...

"Coming right up Darling!" Said back the plump Mare with a warm smile.

Diamond Tiara felt a sudden bliss upon touching the warm blanket. She had completely failed to notice how cold she was as she walked around hoping to meet Starfall.

When the Hot Chocolate arrived, she didn't even say anything but started to drink the hot beverage enjoy the warmth spreading through her entire body.

"Starfall looked at the little filly in a

fond exasperation. What was that silly girl thinking. And where was Silver Spoon? She was usually the voice of reason that kept Tiara from going overboard on various occasions...

It took the filly a moment to finally go back from the chocolate induced euphoria she was experiencing, and she realised her current situation.

"Ah! I'm so sorry! I-I didn't realise how cold I was and...uhh...I'll pay for the chocolate!" She starred to blabber In embarrassment to which Starfall just chuckled.

"It's alright Tiara. We're friends. You don't owe me anything. Just promise me you'll keep yourself from going out without at least a warm scarf alright?" He asked and Diamond Tiara could only nod to which Starfall smiled.

"Good. Now let's enjoy this hot chocolate and you can tell me why you wanted me to see you in that dress... By the way, it was very pretty and I especially liked that purple bow on your head. It makes you look even cuter than usual." He honestly said making Diamond tiara turn a red shade of tomato...

"I-I..."She was momentarily unable to express herself, but just as she was about to gather her courage, the doors to the bakery opened with the sound of a bell and a frantic Silver Spoon run inside with a a bunch of warm clothes in a bag she held in her mouth.

"Tiara! There you are! I was looking all over for you!" Exclaimed the filly as she run up to them and dropped the bag beside the table.

"Silver!...I'm sorry! it's just..." She looked at Starfall in embarrassment and only then did the filly noticed Starfall sitting with Tiara at the table.

Her eyes opened wide and she squealed in surprise.

"Ah! Mr Starfall!? I didn't notice you there!" She said embarrassed looking down. "Good morning..." She finally added remembering her manners.

"And Good 'Afternoon' to you too little Silver." Said Starfall in amusement, not missing that both girls had greeted him with a good morning.

"Oh. It's already so late?!" She looked outside and noticed that indeed it was already past noon.

She blushed slightly, before explaining.

"I'm sorry about that. We had a sleepover at Tiara's house and we must have overslept." Silver Spoon explained and Starfall nodded.

"It's fine. Your not the first one to greet me with a good morning this afternoon." He said in amusement looking at an embarrassed Diamond Tiara.

Silver Spoon smirked at Tiara.

"I see *giggle*... Well Tiara. I brought you your clothes. Your Dad asked me to make sure you don't freeze in the snow. I still don't understand why you thought it was a good idea to go out in that thin dress..." She said in exasperation causing Tiara to blush and look away.

"Anyway. Come on Tiara. Wear some warm clothes and we're going. Your Dad is worried about you."Silver Spoon said before turning to Starfall.

"And thank you for helping her mister." She said urging an unwilling Tiara to put on some warm clothes over the pretty dress...

"It's quite alright Spoon. It was the least I could do. Tiara looked like a small, cute, dressed up icicle when I found her." He joked and Tiara pouted, while still blushing from the hidden praise.

The two fillies were soon on their way back while Starfall remained it the bakery, looking at their departing backs as Tiara looked back at him clearly unwilling to go but resigned to her faith.

The stallion snorted in fond exasperation at the two fillies before turning back to his half drunk chocolate, a smile slowly growing on his face...

Since he's here, he might as well satisfy his sweet tooth...

It isn't widely known...but be it this life or his previous one...He freaking LOVES Chocolate...
