Chapter 78: First Night

I stayed inside the cell the entire day without moving. Technically because I am still incapable of believing the things that happened to me.

I could suddenly hear a bell ringing.

"That's dinner!" Ronda hollered and yanked me from where I was sitting.

I didn't even notice that the evening had come.

I have no idea where we are going but I just let her drag me.

We went down to the ground floor. "The dining hall is in there. We gotta hurry if we don't want to starve."

She is holding me on my arm with the hand that has a burn. And I could feel the rough texture of her burned skin brushing on mine.

It wasn't gross but it feels weird.

I refrained from asking her about her burn. I don't think it's appropriate to pry about her private life.

When we landed on the ground floor, she ditched me and went somewhere. But she came back really quickly and brought two plates.

She handed me the other one. "Use this."

"Thanks."
