[Vilson: Ability->telepathy]
"Where is the necromancer," asked Vilson. [through telepathy]
Vilson's squad specialty is archery and considering the given situation they had already gained high grounds near the area surrounding the mist. It comprised of eight people in total. Two men and six women. They lacked brute strength, but the fire power made up for the for the former. They used specialized arrows which would blow up a few seconds after they hit the target successfully.
[At some distance from the affected area]
Vilson: "Lift the mist now Lark my cadre have gained higher grounds. We'll clear a path to the necromancer, then heath can take him down with his firepower".
"Roger that, but first I need you to take Korb to safety, he is bleeding out", said lark.
"Don't worry about that I've got backup", replied Vilson.
"Time for round two, huh," murmured Nord with smirk on his face.
"Korb wake up!", screamed Heath.
But Korb was already on the verge of losing consciousness, he couldn't respond well.
Heath: wake up moron! [slapping Korb].
"What! what?", said Korb as he gained consciousness.
Heath: Listen closely I need you to take our men to safety inside the capital. Do you get it!
"What! no, I am not going to ditch you guys," Korb mumbled as he grunted in pain.
Heath: [enraged] You're not of any use, not in your current condition anyways. I need you to least save our men before you cross the river.
Korb: Save! how can I save my men if I lead them to that hell!!!
Heath: I have a plan. Go there as our vanguard and we'll come storming as soon as we take care of things here.
"Vanguard? what are you even saying", exclaimed Korb as he was conflicted and confused at Heath's words.
"I am lifting up the mist", shouted Lark as he speared a corpse who came out of the thick mist.
"Give me damn! second", yelled Heath.
Heath bought his face close to Korb's ear as he murmured something that widened Korb's eye in a disarray.
"I am trusting you", said Heath as he stood up and walked towards Vilson unsheathing his sword.
"Soldiers! surround me", yelled Korb with what strength he had remaining.
Hearing this every soldier in vicinity came running including Lark's unit.
"We are going back to the hell we came from, anybody who wanna leave, can leave now, No questions asked. I can't guarantee your lives from here on out, it's your decision to make." said Korb taking deep breaths.
"We'll go with you sir!", screamed each troop.
Korb unleashed his ability. The surrounding area in which the troops and Korb stood started glowing with a white luminescence with strange patterns, "Buckle up then" the luminescence started turning red and with a sudden burst of the red luminosity, the group vanished.
[Korb: Ability-> Teleportation up to hundred miles; Effective area-> fifty meters; Cooldown->one hour. The user is rendered useless for at least twenty minutes after its use.]
"Lift it now", said heath as he stood ready for combat.
"Here we go," said Lark lifting his ability which took a couple of seconds.
Their eyes widened as they saw immeasurable number of piles of corpses tugging each other like bugs, and with the fallen mist their prey were in sight. The necromancer let out a scream as his smile stretched from one edge to the other on his rotten face, which made the mob agitated and they ran over each other just to reach the two first.
"We're fucked," said Lark lifting his spear at the back in a stance.
"Agreed", said Heath as ground below along with his sword started blazing with fire.
They were ready to engage in combat when suddenly the anomality crashed right before them, on the crowd of dead, creating a crater twice it's size.
And in fraction of seconds a sword big enough to cut a giant in half strikes the crater.
