"How can you send me back? Don't you have to live in the dorms?" Inumaki Kendo asked his older sister.
And he was right. He remembered feeling down when he received the news that his beloved sister had to live away at school.
"Yes, but the principal made an exception. We only live a walking distance from school so I could live at home instead. Why? Don't you want me?" she teased.
"No, no, no! I want you. I was just curious, that's all."
The brother and sister duo continued walking down the streets passing by the bustling people of the market. They made simple conversation, checking up on one another.
"Anyway, how did you end up meeting the Hero Hunter?"
A valid question, since most people who meet the Hero Hunter rarely live to see another day.
"Well, I was getting bullied in this alley,' he pulled her by the hand to the exact same alley, 'and this is where the students bullied me."
Itsuka inspected the area. It was dirty, graffiti was splattered all over the wall including some obscenities. Puddles of water were splotched across the floor from unknown sources. The revolting smell attacked her nostril relentlessly.
'Eugh, no wonder no one was here to save him. Its like a garbage dump!'

Rui was dozing off on some rooftop. Having just finished off Ranger, he was taking the time off. He came across a few villains on the way back after and they gave him a hard time.
He was hit with a dose of poison, presumably on of their quirks. His vision was affected and started seeing double. Or maybe triple. Or maybe they were triplets, he couldn't tell.
His line of sight became blurry so he couldn't see the incoming attacks. He felt a sharp pain on his left calf, then a sharp pain on his right shoulder.
"Hah! Look how the mighty have fallen! You can't see us now!" he heard a voice boast.
He heard the rustling of feet all around him coming closer to him. This should have been the end of the Hero Hunter. Without the advantage of sight, how else could somebody see his opponents?
Well, Rui wasn't somebody. He was the famed and feared disciple of the original Hero Hunter. If he couldn't fight without relying on sight, he had disappointed his master.
Long ago, Garou had Rui practice fighting in the dark to improve on his sensing abilities. In that dark room, he was often beaten to a pulp before he could realize it. He was forced to do that over and over day after day. It was not until a year had passed had he somewhat grasped the concept of relying on his other senses.
With his eyes closed, his ears perked up to listen to the surrounding. His mind was cleared to grab every movement around him.
To his left, he heard and felt that one person was closer to him than others were.
He could not exactly pinpoint where the man was exactly, but he had a rough sense. He brought up his right leg and swung it somewhere at mid body level. He immediately heard a loud grunt. Knowing he got his mark, he set his foot back down.
He heard four others gasping in surprise behind him. He got his four next victims. The gasp they made was considerably louder than the rustling of feet, so he knew where the four were. He swiftly got there and disabled everyone there.
Rui started reclaiming his vision and he could see colors now. There was a clear difference between the dark walls and light skin. Knowing where the other opposition were, he quickly dismantled them as well. Just as he was about to finish off his last opponent, he regained his vision completely.
Reminiscing of the previous battle, Rui sighed. He was caught off guard by the poison. This incident made him realize that this world has more variety of power apart from strength and espers.
That meant that he had to fend off unpredictable powers every time he revealed himself to the public. In fact, the next he had to fight, he might have to fight someone who was intangible! He had no idea as of now on how to counter that.
"-live in the dorms?"
Rui's ears heard something peculiar, or rather a peculiar voice. He knew he heard this voice somewhere before but could not put his finger on it. He peered over the ledge of the roof and saw the residents of the city in a beeline. His eyes darted all over to scout that voice.
His eyes landed on a young boy walking beside a young girl with bright orange hair.
"Wasn't he… the boy from last time? I meet him again?"
A moment later, Rui looked over to the girl, curious to know her relationship with him. She was wearing the same uniform as those bullies from before which cause him to be on edge.
'What does she want? I better follow him.'
He closely followed them by the rooftops, careful not to make a noise that will alert them. Soon, he arrived by a familiar place. It was the same alley he found the boy both times.
He saw the boy enter the area once again, with the girl.
Thinking it was another attempt to bully him, he made himself known. He jumped down from the roof landing in front of their eyes.
"H-h-hero Hunter…"
"Mister!"
"Why do you always find yourself in this situation, boy?"
Rui cracked his knuckles which sent a rush down the girl's spine. She stood rooted to the ground, unable to move despite the immense will to do so.
She prayed to God that she and her brother makes out of this alive.
