Jake was still shaken by the time they got back to the manor. His mind couldn’t stop racing with the words his brothers- no, Argax had said to him. What had happened between Alexcyn and his brothers that had caused such seething hatred between them? Jake chanced a look at them as they walked passed the threshold of the manor and into the direction of their father’s office. 


Jake wouldn’t follow them. That was the plan. The brothers would take credit for defeating the bandits that had ransacked the factory, as well as giving back the plans that were stolen and claiming that they were responsible for finding the hideout. Jake was responsible for making the least amount of noise as possible and going to his room for an early night. No dinner.
