Through his blurry vision he saw a human face stare down at him, and words from a memory slowly started to pour into his mind.
“You shouldn’t have done this, Alexcyn,” It was Dimitri’s voice, soft and lulling as Jake remembered it.
“Why?” Came a strangled plea, Jake recognised it as Alexcyn’s voice- his own voice, but it did not exist in any memory he had of Alexcyn while in his body. It was then that Jake realised he was living in a memory- but there were no beasts who he had linked to in order to be able to witness this.
Through starry eyes, he opened the systems interface, and was bombarded with the images of the many kroaten that surrounded him. Jake saw their names file each one on top of the other as the list went on- some of it highlighted in greys while others in reds. Their vitals were ranging from extreme highs to drastic lows and Jake knew at that moment something unnatural was occurring.
