Waking up in River’s arms was something Ellie was finally starting to get used to. By the end of their first month as a married couple, they were finally starting to get into a routine. The nights they spent at her home in her pack territories and the nights they spent in his home in his pack territories were becoming predictable, which was a good thing. Their pack members needed to know when they would be there and be available to meet to discuss any problems, and it was particularly important for their Betas because then they knew when they would be in charge of the pack and when they could relax a little bit.


As the sunlight filtered in through Ellie’s bedroom window, she stretched and checked to see if River was awake yet. His eyes opened, and he smiled at her. “Good morning, baby.”
