Welcome to my world

The marriage of my parents

Here comes the bride... All dressed in white.... As I watched that old vhs tape, while I was only ten years old, watching my cousin scatter flowers down the aisle, I could see the love in my mother's eyes as she stood there gazing into the eyes of my father. Oh what a beautiful bride she made. As the video played I couldn'st wait to see them kiss to seal the deal. Keep in mind I was only 10 years old.

After what seemed like hours of preaching and googly eyes between the couple, the preacher finally called forth the ring bearers. The vows were said to each other and the moment finally came. "You may kiss the bride." Oh how happy I was as I cheered my parents on. I could hear my grandpa on the first row of the church, "That's enough Tony!!!" I couldn't help but laugh. Little did I know that was just the beginning.

9 Months

Nine months I was carried. Forever I was loved. Nine months of birth pains. Nine months of me kicking and screaming, wanting out of the fleshly cage I was in. Only my mother can describe the pain she felt. She did it all for me. And life has never been the same since. I love my mother. Granted, it wasn't easy carrying me.

9 hours

Nine gruesome hours... Laying in that hospital bed, covered in sweat. I didn't want to leave my cave. It took nine hours for my mom to give birth to me. I fought inside not wanting to come into the world because of how evil the world was. Like I knew all that then though, right?

After nine hours, I was finally delivered. Man, you should have seen my parent's faces. How proud they were that the seed produced fruit. I was the fruit. As they wrapped me up in a blanket, dad stated that I looked like E.T. (extraterrestrial).

Who am I

My name is Gary Lance. I am currently 24 going on 150. Haha. Just kidding. I was born in May. You know the old saying, April showers bring May flowers? Well I am a May flower. I am growing spiritually every day. I am always blooming every day, in each and every way. I am very humble in my work. God gave me the gift of writing and I plan to use it for His glory. I'm not perfect by any means. I'm a sinner saved by grace.
