Angus lingered, gently stroking Clementine with genuine affection.

Anna took Rocket’s reins and began to walk him toward the gate. “You did really well for your first try,” she said to Angus.

He smiled happily. “It was bloody brilliant! I loved it. I should have been riding horses all m’ life.”

Anna laughed. “Wait until you see how you feel when you wake up in the morning. You’ve used muscles you didn’t know you had.”

Angus laughed, too. Then he called after her. “I want tae help. What can I do?”

“You don’t have to help, you’re a guest.”

“I know I don’t have tae, but I want tae. I want tae become more comfortable working with the horses. On-screen, I want it tae look like it’s second nature.”

From the barn door, Anna turned to look at him. “Well, all these horses need to be untacked, brushed, watered, and fed.”
