The following morning as he walked along the path from his cabin to the main lodge, Angus paused to examine a brass plaque affixed to a short wooden post at the base of an evergreen tree just off the trail. Unlike the other hundreds of trees throughout the ranch property, this one was cordoned off by rope strung through a series of rough-hewn wooden posts. Hed passed it every time he went back and forth, and this time, his curiosity got the better of him.
He squinted in the early morning sunlight.
Sawyer Buzzsaw Lang. A pair of dates apparently marked the birth and death of a man whod only reached the age of twenty-five.
Angus frowned in thought.
Buzz was Annas fiancé.
Surprised, he turned to find Ross Graves standing beside him. The man nodded sadly at the plaque.
